I really, really don't get the offsides penalty in soccer. Makes no sense to me as a rule, but, whatever.

Offside: Not "offsides." No "s." A rather confusing rule for beginners. In the most basic terms, the receiver of a pass cannot be closer to the goal than the ball and the second-to-last defender (the goalkeeper usually is the last defender) when the ball is initially touched. The rule gets murky whenever you have to decide whether an offside player, even if the pass wasn't intended for him, is "actively involved" in the play.

Offsides was close. On replay. Felt like they stopped it a bit soon to put the lines up. Was a great cross

I can see why Cameroon went with the yellow kit since the clearly are parking a big 10-man bus behind the ball most of the time.

Eto'o should have scored there. Great from Assou-Ekotto

It's only new in competitions like this. Has been used a lot in Mexico and US. Normally the wall cheats forward about 3 yards so it keeps them honest.

I knew someone would post this as soon as I read my post. I know it is offside.

Jesus. It is still a outdated rule. But again, I'm not going to make this a thing.
