Yeah, I was sitting here hoping Bradley would realize this game doesn't mean much in the grand scheme and try to actually attack some in the second half.

yeah we basically play every team who doesn't totally suck 0-1 after the first half
remember slovakia? ghana? a bunch of other shitty games in the world cup last year?
we played this way at the confed cup and almost didn't make it out of group, then we said, "frick it" and tried and beat fricking spain (even though we played the shell game in the 2nd half and almost lost that game).
we followed up with the SAME THING against brazil. we played to attack, went up big on them, and then bob ball fricked us in that 2nd half

The only thing that annoys me is the way our defenders just hoof the ball even when their not under pressure.
Other than that, we're just overmatched.
Although Edu as the head of a 3 man midfield just doesn't work. It needs to be Holden but it will be awhile before that happens. As it stands maybe we should just go 4-4-2. Who the other striker is, I don't know. I guess Agudelo or maybe Davies if he keeps coming back.

he's having a ray hudson-like slobfest over argentina right now
i will say this. even though we are being dominated, at least we're pressuring the fricking ball in our defensive third
there were too many times during qualifying and the world cup where we just let people waltz in towards our goal e.g. bryan ruiz in costa rica. argentina is having to work for good chances

I'm actually gonna side with Bob in that he's playing the counter. Unfortunately for him, Gooch and DeMerit are fricking awful distributive centerbacks. A guy like Ream is actually a better option than our two head the ball away or boot it down field top choice defenders. I also think Bocanegra is getting too old for international football. He doesn't have the pace down the wings like he used to have.
