When comparing him to some of the other players out there, he's doing a good job. Shea sucked, Holden a bit invisible likely because of Beckerman not playing further up, Hercules was meh, etc.

It was a textbook penalty, the guy´s feet were together, Gooch inadvertently scissors, with heavy emphasis from his left leg on both the cuban´s legs.
It certainly wasn´t intentional, if that´s what you´re trying to say, and probably better as a no call.
But, with the rulebook in hand, that´s a penalty.
