US Gold Cup player changes: OUT-Ashe, Gómez, McInerney, Onyewu. IN-González, Gordon, E. Johnson, Besler.
Kind of upset that we didn't bring in any RB help, unless they plan on moving Orozco there now.

I like it all except Gordon. Why drop Jack Mc for this fricking guy?

Maybe he wasn't getting it done in training?

Gordon offers something that we don't already have on the roster
I'd rather McInerney back with Philly than languishing on the bench for the national team, anyway

Assuming USA makes the final, would they automatically be the home team?

Ives tweeted something yesterday about Jack Mac tearing shite up in camp.

Hearing Onyewu got a knock on play in box vs Cuba and that Tijuana club interests are tied to Gómez departure (Klinsmann wanted him to stay)

I assume this is the lineup we will see this weekend.

Probably not that as everything has been positive coming out if camp. He's just not gonna play and might as well play for te union and win a goal scoring title.

I hope we don't do that 4-4-2 bullshite again.

Should have brought Zusi

I hate the way Jurgen uses two strikers. It's antiquated and there is no link player. No two striker system works with both players doing the same thing.

That's what we have been doing since the 2nd half against Guatemala.

With this roster, there is no striker that is good enough to be alone up top. Having Landy paired up with them makes them a lot more efficient and dangerous.
I'm fairly certain when WCQ's start back up, JK will go back to the 4-2-3-1 with Jozy the lone striker.

I definitely expect to see us back in the 4-2-3-1. As for this GC, I want to see GAM playing his natural striker and not winger.

So Torres on the left then?

It honestly looks like youth soccer out there. You can't have two guys playing in a deep position with no one in between to link them with the striker(s). It's just bad soccer.

You don't need to have a world class striker. You just need a guy who works hard and can help keep the ball. By sticking two guys up top, we're hurting ourselves more than trying to mask a weakness.

I never said that, our striker pool is just really shallow.

I know. Wondolowski is perfectly capable of leading the line against El Salvador.
