Enough of the match fixing and both teams taking it light playing for a draw nonsense.
Low and Klins both have ego's and will want to win.
The Germans will take much pride in stompin a mud hole in their old coach and their people will love it. Esp b/c he just up and left and they saw him as not staying to finish the job.
Klins has something to prove vs the Germans.
Germany losing to the US in a competitive match would hurt their national pride big time.

Oh yeah there is some old boy's club kinda stuff happening behind the scenes. I bet both Klins and Low want this one badly.
Agree but he is a weird case. I mean he kinda proved everyone wrong in 2006 and then just walked away for Bayern when the national team wanted to retain him for the Euros.
But from all reports, his two years with the national team was met with a lot of criticism.

Germany will try and win this game. If Klose gets playing time, you know that son of a bitch will want to score.

The German press when it comes to their national team which is ruthless shat on Klins.
German national teams fans are different than how it is during the club. They are not as wild or loud as they are for their clubs. They have a more snobbish elitist feel to them and will display their displeasure by booing their own players.

Gee that sounds familiar, LSU fans.

Klins is already pissed the Germans have an extra day of rest. If the Germans are dumb enough to take their foot off the gas we will go for the throat.
Winning our group the group of death would be an epic achievement

They'll be glad to put 5 in the net if we let them, but if we survive the first hour it seems like there's a chance they would go a little easy on us to avoid the possibility of losing the group.

This is how a "fix" would happen. Both teams will play to win, but if it gets to 75-80 minutes and the game is tied, both teams will be pretty cautious (and tired).
