Neuer Going to World Cup
Hopefully it is the Real Madrid version and not the PSG first leg version.
Hoffenheims Baumann at 35 was expected to start.
Neuer has more experience and plays with more German national teammates.
Is he starting or is he a locker room presence?

What happened to the Keeper who plays in the Spanish League who was starter and younger. Neuer was good in 2014 but very average since he broke his leg and too many boneheaded mishap goals that kill momentum.

Are you referring to Marc-André ter Stegen of Barcelona?
Injuries and playing time.
He was loaned out to Girona this year and only played 2 games.

Baumann has been shaky for Hoffenheim lately. Nübel from Stuttgart is in the best form.

I guess Oliver Kahn was busy?

Kahn is the GOAT of all time IMO

The DFB Pokal Finale today is like a Germany intersquad game.

Defensive struggle thus far…Bayern attackers are getting frustrated

HFK 1-0, great Olise cross
ETA: perhaps too many flares brought by both fan bases

Undav scores a brace (and sets up Wirtz for a third) against Finland but pulls a hammy on the second one.

The Lenny Karl run leading up to the second one by Undav was pretty impressive…they’re gonna need a spark plug like him if they hope to go deep into the tourney

Deniz Undav said he should be good to go for the World Cup.
Do you guys think Deniz could be a starter? He clearly had a great game yesterday.

Years-long Stuttgart fan here. I chug every time Undav misses a sitter. Have not finished a game sober. I think Woltemade is a better option as a pure 9--he just has a Muller-like gift for scoring. Undav works better as a 10 but would be way behind Musiala, with Wirtz and Karl or Leweling on the wings. Will be interesting to see where Havertz fits in--he should be back this weekend.
Germany is great attack and great defending and a black hole in between.

They have been grouped in the last two world cups and this is arguably their weakest team yet.
