Probably Watch ESPN
I hate when all the matches are at the same time on international dates.

Does anyone else agree that Jermaine Jones gets in Bradley's way and tries to do too much? He is a liability to get us in trouble as well.

6 months ago I would have agreed with you but they have been playing very well together as of late

Jones sometimes fancies himself a striker, but he does make some fantastic runs. I'd rather see Bradley push forward though. Sometimes they get their wires crossed on who is dropping and who is pushing up.

I would much rather see Cameron in there instead of Jones. Bradley seems to think the same. Interesting article here questioning if Klinsmann should leave it up to Bradley to decide. LINK

There was a thread here on that article. The consensus was NOOOOO Bradley should not decide. Personally I'm just excited that we have the depth to have a legitimate conversation about who plays. For the time being I like Jones over Cameron, but Geoff shows a lot more potential at CDM over CB.

Unless the USSF appoints Bradley to player coach there is no fricking way he should be choosing starters. He's not even the captain.

All I said was interesting article. I think it would be wise of Klinsmann to sit down with Bradley and pick his brain and get his opinion on who he plays best with. Not saying he should be choosing starters.

I agree. Having this much depth and talent is a good dilemma to have.

Jurgy said recently he doesnt care if Jones or Bradley push forward as long as one of them stays back to cover the CBs

Always thought it would be interesting if we ran out a 4-1-2-1-2 kind of thing to try and get the best out of some of our players, but not sure if it would be the best idea.

--Jozy--Donovan-
----Dempsey----
-Bradley--Jones--
----Cameron----
FJ-Besler-Gonzo/JAB-Dolo/Timmy

I doubt we're good enough playing through the middle to do this, plus width would really have to come from the fullbacks. While I think they could, that would really put a lot of stress on the CB's and Cameron in communicating and stopping play early, which I'm not quite sure they would able to do, especially against some of the better squads.

Do you think if Jurgen trots out Castillo's broke arse at lb that we may never see Fabian at LB for us again unless we are in an extreme pinch? Seems like that would be a statement of intent

I agree FJ playing LB seems more like what we want and not what's really gonna happen. To me, it makes more sense to put out some of our other attacking players that have been playing well, but DMB's earned my respect and I won't feel terrible with him starting there come world cup time. But he definitely benefits from having someone like FJ with a high motor at LM to track back and help cover.

In a perfect world we have more options at LB and Fab can run wild at LW, but I just don't know if that's the case. If we can find someone to hold up at LB then I would be thrilled to have Fabian on the wing. Time will tell.

You watch more Bundesliga than me but hasn't he moved to a LW/LM role with Hoffenheim? And it seems like it's been a year since he's last played LB for us, so unless Jurgy's got some crazy trick up his sleeve trying to develop LB depth, I just don't see Johnson playing there a year from now unless something drastic happens

The last time we had a meaningful game (Honduras after Beas picked up a yellow versus Panama) and Fabian and Castillo were our options he played FJ there. I don't know what he's going to do today, but I would take more from what he did in a World Cup qualifier than what he does today.

The emergence of Thesker at LB after being moved from CB allowed Fabian to push up into the LW spot, you are correct. That was in the second part of the season, he still plays a decent amount of LB for them though. They have some pretty decent attacking options on the wings. He actually was a midfielder as an amateur and then started his professional career as a LB. so he's well versed in both positions.

I watched our failed Olympic bid on the Justin.TV app on my phone. I don't know if someone will be streaming today's match though.
