weird to see how quickly they have become a major player on a national level. i guess that it's fairly easy to get there if you can offer certain things that other soccer clubs cannot

solar and texans were the major NTX teams in my age group, but dallas had a ton of good-solid teams. i remember seeing even rec+ teams from that area that were pretty decent

I knew a guy who played with Solar. He was the best player on my DIII college's soccer team. To be honest, though, I wasn't that impressed when I played pick-up with him, but that's not exactly a competitive environment.

I think our USSF developmental academies are doing very well. Just taking time.

I had Packwood already. I added Jeffrey and Morales.

Also to note: Gale Agbossoumonde is on trial with Cologne next week.

ETA: I added Jeffrey and Morales to the notables bc they are 21+

ETA: ETA: Again, US placed 3rd during the Milk Cup. They won the last Milk Cup tho.

all of those directly mentioned in my post are ussf academy teams. fc dallas basically leap-frogged those clubs if there is anything to take from the fc dallas-laden roster

it's pretty ridiculous

American-Bosnian U-23 Perica Marosevic was released by FC Dallas but picked up by Toronto FC.

Scored a goal in his first game tonight:
Here is the link. Nice shot.

Alfred Koroma won U-17 MVP in the Generation Adidas camp. LA Galaxy beat FC Dallas 2-0 to win the cup.

That Mexican GK Sanchez (who starts for their U-17 and World Champion, and also plays for FC Dallas) won Golden Glove.

I'm not too worried about them having a good goalie, we have a great pedigree with goalies and he'll probably do some roids or get busted for banging some strippers before he even gets to his prime
That Josh Gatt goal was pretty nasty, he owned that defender.
