I am a little different than most posters because I don't have a favorite team that has a lot of really talented players. So I don't like the Arsenal guys and dislike the ManU guys, for example. I basically like any player with skill and a generally positive attitude who plays positive soccer. I dislike dirty players and guys who yell at referees non-stop.

Favorite players: I enjoy watching guys like Cristiano Ronaldo, Messi, David Villa, Mesut Ozil, Andrea Pirlo, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic because they are all so skilled. I also enjoy watching defenders like Cannavaro, Nesta, Vidic, Maldini, and Lescott because they are very good at stopping stars

Going back a bit, Zidane, Figo, Rui Costa, Gabriel Batistuta, and Roberto Baggio were great to watch. So were Vieri and Ronaldo before he gained 50 pounds, fricked trannies, and smoked cigarettes around pregnant women.

Least favorite players are dirty frickers like Nigel de Jong, Sergio Busquets, John Terry, Marco Materazzi (although he didn't do anything wrong in the Zidane case), Paolo Montero, and Gheorge Hagi.

I also hate whiners like Dani Alves, Marcelo (also a dirty player), and Emre Belozoglu who all berate officials constantly. So glad Emre is no longer playing for my team, Fenerbahce.

His family is from Istanbul and grew up in the shadows of the stadium. Keys is a great poster on this entire site, not just the SB. I'll even give him a pass on the Arsenal comment.

People always seem to lump international teams in club questions. Of course all of our least favorite team is Mexico. That is why all of the little Messicans made my least favorite player part.

EDIT: Just noticed your post, Bho. Whoops.

Impressive memory, Glassman.

And the Arsenal thing was just a hypothetical. I could have just as easily said used Manchester City/Man U or Chelsea/Arsenal for my examples

Fwiw, while I am largely neutral with the English clubs that don't feature Americans, I enjoy the style of play of Man U and Arsenal the most.

You are the best CB poster on the MSB, and why didn't Turan ever sign for a big club? Attitude?

Thanks

Turan signed with Atletico Madrid last year. Not a huge club, but I think it's a good fit for him. In my opinion, I don't think he could get into the starting 11 of a Chelsea/ManU/Barca-type of team.

He lacks the skill of Pirlo, Cesc, or Ozil. I think he is about on par with Modric. And it seems like Atletico is pleased with him since they signed Emre from Fenerbahce 2 weeks ago.
