I worked at the Germantown Centre in high school. This jacked guy use to come in and work out. I never played soccer, and was always that dick that made fun of those that did play soccer. My friend that did play soccer was hanging out with me and was the first one to tell me who Tim Howard was, and that he just signed for Manchester United.
Thats when I figured out I had Fox Soccer Channel and started watching.
At first I wasn't a United fan, but was almost a Cheslea fan because of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, but when Abramovich took over I lost interest.
It wasn't until a couple seasons of watching that I really liked Giggs, Schoals, Ronaldo, and Rooney that I became a fan of United.

Someone posted the link to this thread on the other thread started by the USCe guy.

Thanks, since I don't know you, I'll refrain from insulting you back.

I didn't say you were a douche. I just said your bump was douchy.

My bad, though. I just felt like you were trying to make this thread compete with that one. It's okay if we recycle discussion in a different thread every five months in my opinion.

Spent time with some family that live just South of Munich in 2006. I just happened to take my trip at the same time of the WC that year. I played soccer in high school, but wasn't much of a spectator of the game.

Spending those 2 weeks there and experiencing their culture that I had been previously oblivious to truly made me a fan of the sport and considering my family's Germanic background I attached myself to Bayern and Germany's national team.

Sieg!
Mia san mia.

Been tough. But still a Leeds supporter. Those teams from the Revie era were some of the best ever, and all the players were from the United Kingdom.
