Well, the reasoning that changing it to Hull Tigers would somehow make them more appealing to a wider audience is dubious at best.
More than likely he just wants people to have to buy new gear with new branding.
Also, at that old geezer complaining that the word "city" is too common sounding when he wants to change their name to the Tigers which has to be in the top 5 for common sports team names.
