What Martinez's brown shoes? I fancy those like.

Besic is a badass though too, for sure.

Barkley has signed a new 4 year deal to stay in blue

"
"I knew what it meant to me when [Wayne] Rooney left, said Barkley. "We were all down. I know how the fans felt. Now I want to help us push on.

"Signing a new contract is a dream," he continued. "I've played for Everton most of my life. This is a big thing for me.

"It didn't take any persuading. As soon as I got told about it I wanted to sign.

A lot of fans on the various boards are miffed about the presser for Barkley. Not that they're not happy, they just think having a PC for a new contract is ridiculous.

Mostly just angst about the lack of new signings.

Yeah. A lot of fans are seriously overlooking how crucial today was long term. I'm sure he's now got a ridiculous buyout, and if he progresses the way many think he should, he will be a world class player soon. If he is sold in a few years, he could go for one of these astronomical figures that the world's elite have been going for lately. The funding that would result from his sell would be tremendous given the current financial state of the club.

The quote about Rooney is interesting, though. Makes me wonder what clubs would be able to pry him away and for what kind of money.

I'm hearing a lot of talk about the potential Atsu loan, which I'd gladly take, but surprisingly discussion about Welbeck too. Didn't expect that.

Atsu on loan and Lukaku perm would be pretty awesome.

Only Luis Suárez and Robin van Persie have scored more Premier League goals in the last two seasons than Romelu Lukaku. #EFC

Romelu Lukaku had 92 shots on target during the past 2 seasons (exc. blocked shots). Only Luis Suarez (153) had more
