Def not his day.
We are so uncreative in the final third.
Hope Kean changes that.
How long is Gomes out for?
Delph good for next week?

Gylfi was terrible today.
We probably should have brought Davies on when Gomes went out. You could see the flashes of talent with Gbamin, but he definitely needs some time to settle in. Also, Gbamin is much bigger than I realized. Will be interesting to see if we try him at CB at all.
Pickford and the back 4 looked great, as did Richarlison. The rest of the team was fairly underwhelming, but I guess lackluster midfield play will do that.
All in all, feel relatively fortunate to take a point.

Yeah, when Gbamin first came I kept mistaking him for Mina and wondering why he was so far up.
It was all a cluster after losing Gomes today. I totally agree that Davis should have been his replacement.
Gylfi is only considered to have a good game if he scores. He doesn't contribute to the offensive buildup. So, scoring is the only thing he can do (other than provide pressure when we don't have the ball). Not sure if that is on him or how Marco likes to play his number 10.

As do I. Down a man for like 15 min, and Pickford made two great one on one saves.

Its probably an overreaction but I'm starting to wonder if we see more of Sigurdson on the bench in favor of a 4-3-3:
Pickford
Coleman Keane Mina Digne
Davies Gomes Delph/Gbamin
Richarlison Kean Iwobi
I know that's what Silva wants to run, but Siggy just doesn't fit anywhere in a 4-3-3.

I would think we would have tried to sell him if that was the case, no?
re: Everton 19/20 COYBPosted by Dead End on 8/10/19 at 11:44 am to Wait For It...
Pickford and the backline played well. Gomes injury hurt us. Davies looked composed on the ball and defending. Richy created a few chances. Gbamin needs some time to settle. DCL was great with hold up play and created a few chances. Kean made a few dangerous runs. Siggy was shite. Morgan can frick off. Davies should play over him.
Glad I started drinking at 9.

Gomes passed the fit test.
Will be paired with Gbamin.
Everything else remains the same as last week.
Awobi and Moises on the bench.

Makes me feel much better.
We've created a few chances so far.

Is it me, or does the commentator keep saying "Calvert-Lewis"?

Is Glfyi absent again?
Haven't seen much of him.

He played a good ball to DCL. I think he'll be fine.
