is it just me or does it look like the highlights ESPN is running of MLS on ESPN FC seem as if they are coming from a choppy internet stream?

Could be a dumb question but does anyone else think that a show with majority of the panel having strong accents immediately turns off the casual American sidewalk fan? I know before I liked soccer anytime I saw a foreigner on ESPN I figured it was about horse racing or something like that.

Also, that's the first time I've seen that Mexican douche who called the US game with Ian darke, he's a fricking tool.

This show sucks. I think I'll stick with Fox.

Having not watched the show, I'm going to assume you meant talk about any leagues besides the MLS. It seems like ESPN will lack any motivation to show any leagues they don't have on ESPN or ESPN3 unfortunately.

When is Jurgen announcing the friendly roster? I know there have been announcements of those who are being called in but no full roster announcement yet.

It was basically this

Community Shield
Where is Rooney going
Suarez
Dempsey
Highlights of Barca vs Malaysia
Messi vs Ronaldo

and that's about it. Another showing is on at 11, not sure if it's the same show though.

Apparently the one right now has a little more to it like some ligue1 and bundesliga stuff.

Yeah I don't know why they didn't show this one to begin with instead of that stupid Sportscenter special.

So Lalas is saying that Landons agent should get his client more money because of the Dempsey signing. Um isn't Landon 33 now?

The highlights were of a weirdly poor quality. I like that they're finally catching up and creating a show. Maybe it'll build the TV audience a little.

The best MLS highlights, by far, are the videos and condensed games the league releases. The highlights come up minutes after they happen, and the condensed games are out an hour or two after full time. I'll tune in to FC and see what their MLS coverage is like, but I'll probably still get most of my news from podcasts and my highlights from MLS.

For whatever else the league has wrestled with, their internet presence is well executed. Other leagues could learn a lot from them.

Shaka Hislop was talking about Chelsea's striker situation, mentioned how we didn't have a solid out-and-out striker with Torres and Demba Ba. But he is wondering if Andre Schürrle will play out wide or up front.

Not one mention of the guy who will most likely be our striker versus Hull City next weekend, Romelu Lukaku...
