I'm just still not sold on Bayern with Pep. Either way it should be a great season.

What are you not sold on? The defense needs some work but Gladbach is gonna be a good team and Bayern had 61% possession and 26 shots without Goetze and Thiago.

Pretty much just how he'll control team morale and player rotations. Yeah, they're are a ton of injuries and competitions for everyone to get solid PT but you know some players will be upset when they don't play as much as they want to. It happens on every team so it shouldn't be a huge huge deal and Pep has great experience dealing with having a beastly squad but I honestly think he has a better team now at Bayern than he ever did at Barca. I'm 100% sure Bayern can dish out 2 top 5 teams in the Bundesliga just with their first team, and their bench alone, that's how deep they are.
It's a pretty dumb reason but still. I like the quality of Dortmund a ton. The only thing with them is that they aren't as deep as Bayern. Regardless, if Bayern win the league, it won't be as early as they won it last season.

Bayern had a deep squad last season, hell Robben was a sub for most of the season. The players have bought in to winning at whatever cost.
I don't think it will be as easy, either. I think both Bayern and BVB will drop some points because Leverkusen and Schalke are both going to be really good and then teams like Hamburg, Mainz, and Hannover have the potential to shock some teams. Hell Hertha even looked great.
btw, Götze scored 2 goals in a substitute appearance today on his way back from injury. This attack is going to be sick.

After a couple of days now its growing on me. I dont mind the American slant. Its good to the sport getting the "daily" show treatment on ESPN.
Like the show or hate it the sport is growing here and thats really good.
I really think that in order to really tap into the mainstream at some point that coverage here is going to have to take on an American style. American announcers and commentators appealing to that untapped demographic.

Don't you read the MSB and rant? People hate American announcers and media types. Only like SVP and Gus Johnson were beloved and people are already on Johnson's case after one year on the soccer beat. I love America, and the British royal family and that new baby can suck it, but there's no denying the British are WAY better at capturing what little poetry and rhythm there is to the English language. And soccer is a game of poetry and rhythm, portraying it like its not will just turn people off once they actually watch games

I just disagree. It may take time for American announcers to get their feet under them but having a distinct American style will be good for the growth of the sport here.
The long time core base here will always be partial to what they teethed on while coming into their own as a soccer fan here in the U.S. Its was terrible internet streams and british announcers or, giving up my age here, things like soccer made in germany back in the 80's. Being a soccer fan for a long time was very counter cultural and that meant embracing things from Europe. Things have evolved. In order for the mainstream sports watcher in the U.S. to get involved and interested its going to have to take on a unique American feel. Just like every other soccer loving country in the world has their own individual take on the beautiful game.
Being able to appreciate the sport and its subtitles and nuances isn't reliant on importing other countries interpretations of soccer.

Whenever I was like 12 I thought his over the top style was great, but now he's like Corso and Dickie V. Old with generally poor insight and reliant upon overused catchphrases.

Yeah that was fricking stupid. Moyes won that trophy because SAR got them to that game and Wenger could've won it too if they played Wigan.
