Assuming all of the paperwork had been completed, I don't really blame them for demanding that. They're owed about $20 million.
There's usually some sort of insurance that clubs fill out for this sort of thing, anyhow.
Per BBC: "Cardiff have withheld the first scheduled payment until they are satisfied with the documentation." ...
"A source at Cardiff says they will honour the contract but not until they have clarified "all the facts"."
