Did Liverpool miss out, or win out in the end?

Wondering if they’re kicking themselves for not sacking Slot and honing in on Alonso themselves or if they wanted Iraola all along?

Alonso wasn’t fantastic at his last gig.

Iraola seems to “get it”.

Time will tell, but I am happy with Iraola.

The word is they wanted someone more aggressive than Alonso.

Whether that’s a mistake remains to be seen.

I suspect this is true, given what I perceive as indecisiveness this season, and the style of play.

I'm not going to form an opinion until a few match weeks in. I want to see him experiment, and then give it the proper (I know that definition is anywhere from a half to ten matches) time to settle before changing tack again.

Will any Reds fan tire of heavy metal football? I'd rather live by the sword and die by the sword than be indecisive. How long it takes Iraola to fire that up in the club remains to be seen. But I suspect the remaining players want a change so bad, it won't take long.
