Has a World Cup winner ever played for the MLS (as in winning the World Cup while he was an MLS player)? Villa could potentially be the first.

Henry won the World Cup before his transfer to the Red Bulls. In fact, he won even before he joined Arsenal. I think he still played for Monaco at the time.

I don't think Spain has a shot.

is NYCFC gonna be sort of a feeder team to Man City? say like they send some of their young players over here to get some pt on loans and stuff.

They can take a few players on loan, but it won't be a feeder club.

is not how a feeder club would work

yea they will send some their youth players on loan to get PT.

It will be good to test out their youth academy and see how MLS players esp young ones match up with an English academy esp one that has made huge improvements.

Doubt it will tell us a lot. Kreis is going to be very discriminating in who they bring over, and I don't think that City expects it to be a place to dump young players.

I doubt they send of squad players. It really depends esp if england goes to the B team model.

I agree, but I think that NYCFC will err on the side of caution unless they're just looking to add depth, which probably wouldn't be a terrible idea.
