damn

I would just think that their organization and technical abilities would be enough to offset their physical disadvantage (something that would be really tough in Basketball just because the size of the court)- but this is really interesting to me now.

Physical ability always trumps technical ability. They can't move the ball down the field if a much faster player can chase them down.

Boys high school vs. Women's pro would favor the males in just about everything.

Some of them, yes. Just like some high school basketball teams would dominate Geno's Huskies.

Depends upon which side you're speaking of.

I've seen the USA play before. I'm not saying I'm better than they are, but I do think some high school teams could take them for sure.

Not in men's soccer, e.g. every West African team.

I think a well-coached men's team at the U-17 level or thereabouts would beat a well-coached women's WC team.

The hardest pArt would be if the boys could force themselves to play physically.

Hopefully the coach is the ultimate misogynist who also happened to have his girlfriend cheat on him right before the game, so his pre-game speech would inspire the appropriate level of hatred in the boys.

not that it applies here, but this isn't true.

Arsenal, Barca, Spain...etc. can run teams into the ground by passing around them. The ball moves faster than you can run.

I was just wondering if there were any women teams who were good enough to keep possession and frustrate guys trying to be physical with them. But on the whole, I see what you guys are saying that the guys would just be too much physically

That's a good point.

And they don't they play with smaller balls?

No, this is the internet. Most female soccer players probably don't touch any balls.
