It is understood the Yokohama agreement is worth almost £40m-a-year, which will push Chelsea ahead of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City in the shirt sponsorship table. Only Manchester United have a more lucrative deal, having netted £53m-a-year from Chevrolet.

Much higher than the current 18m deal with Samsung. Though I will miss having Samsung across the front, always looks super clean.

I wonder what the world table looks like for this. I think PSG is at 30 million euro a year.

Pretty sure ManUs is far and away the most lucrative.

Not sure on Madrid and Barca.

It could be worse. You could have a company that insists on using their color on your home shirt which just happens to be the color of your biggest rival.

Definitely could be worse but I'm really gonna miss the look of Samsung. Now we get a tire company haha.

A buddy of mine works for Samsung, and they would get discounted Chelsea shirts. He got a white one without a name on the back (he doesn't really follow soccer). Total fail.

The deal is being reported at 40 million pounds per season, more than doubling the 18 million that Samsung was paying.

Should help big with an already good FFP outlook for Chelsea.

Fail why? I've yet to get a jersey with a player name on back.

I would pay $53 to have Chevy end the partnership with Man U because it looks so terrible.

Fair. It was like 5 bucks extra. I think it was 25 bucks for the shirt. I would have had a Hazard, Drogba, and Oscar shirt for 75 total, but call me crazy.
