At this point I’m hoping Villa can keep this momentum going. Would love to see Glazer United and the Yids out of the Champions League.

Ok Reece too I forgot him.
Todd apparently went to the locker room and berated his team after the Brighton match and some soft bitches got their feelings hurt lol

Good, need to figure out which fat to cut this summer. There's plenty of it. Unfortunately some of it are players we just brought in.
Guys that really need to go:
Chalobah
Pulisic
Ziyech
Cucurella (though it won't happen)
Aubameyang
Gallagher or Loftus Cheek
David Fofana or Madueke and Chukwumeka need to go on loan
Wish we could get rid of Sterling or Havertz as well.
The only guys I really want back are Mount, James, Silva, Fofana, Kovacic, and Chilwell.
Somehow after 600m the squad needs a complete blow up.
My ideal, within reason, starting XI
Mendy (though it will be Kepa
James Fofana Silva Chilwell
Fernandez Kovacic (Kante would obviously be here if he can be healthy)
Mount Felix a world class winger
A new world class striker

I don’t want to give up on Mount yet but he’s fallen out of favor. Looks like they’re trying to get a new deal done though. How much longer can Silva go? And we all love Kanye but he can’t stay healthy and is not getting any younger. Kova is solid. W Fofana has done well. What about Mudryk? Looks like he’s finding his form but has not looked good.

Mount has been our best player for 3 years. It'd be completely foolish to write him off based on this disaster of a season from everyone. So of course that's probably what we'll do.
Silva has another year at least I'd say and can at least be a bridge. I've pretty much given up on Kante ever being fit for a sustained period again. Mudryk has sucked but he's not going anywhere so we just have to hope a new manager can help him come good. Maybe he can be that elite winger we need.

Blow this thing up except Felix
Spending any amount of money on Felix could very well be the death knell. Zero end product but ball hogs like he's CR7. Never met an opposing player he didn't want to ping with a shot.
I think Todd is doing his best but was very naive. I'm fairly convinced his transfer strategy was buying certain favorites from the individuals he just hired to run the club. This may show the new staff he will deliver, but consider that City spent multiple windows building a team around a cohesive plan PRIOR to Pep signing.
Todd came out with guns blazing in the market when any reasonable person would have staffed up and built a unified club consensus before setting transfer record after transfer record. If the next manager can't untangle this squad, the next half decade could be very dismal.

Boehly hit the ground sprinting in the summer window without a true Club Development and Personnel Management group. That was a mistake and he clearly had too many voices in his ear. TT, the Board, the Fans, etc
remember the whole CR7 to Chelsea bit and how TT put his foot down and said absolutely not? turns out TT was right, but the whole thing had to play out.
TT also pushed for Raheem Sterling and that has proven to be a disaster. Sterling was allegedly the target of the Boehly ire after the match Saturday, and the way he half assed it out there he deserved every bit of it. The guy is a senior player making top wages on the club and he gave a less than half hearted effort out there against Brighton.
The club needs:
the season to end without any more damage
a top flight manager with a proven top club pedigree and staff that know what they are doing at an elite level
the new manager to have a clear strategy for a system that gets the most out of the young talent
to clear out the roster (39 guys are currently on the senior roster) and build off the core that are the future
The FFP compliance will probably come from moving some of the high priced Wingers the team has stockpiled
to get aggressive on a CB and CF - the middle of CFC form is the problem, how do they fix it?
Who amongst Fofana, Silva, Badiashile, Koulibaly, Chalobah and Levi Colwill (loan at Brighton) are keepers?
For CF - Broja (knee injury), Aubameyang (age 33), Datro Fofana (age 20) are not the immediate answer - so where does the club go for CF? What to do with Felix?

3-5-1-1.
Looks like we’re going for a contain and counter strategy.

I could not have dreamed of a less inspiring formation/XI
Posted on 4/18/23 at 2:54 pm to RandySavage
Well that was the best half of football we’ve had in a long time.

Yeah they played well enough today. If Mark would’ve bagged that shot before half, who knows. But now Frank is 0-4 and continues to show what a shite manager he is. End the damn season and start offloading the crap.

Do we have to wait til the end, can we just start telling guys to go ahead and pack their bags?
Top 5 gtfo list:
Havertz
Cucurella
Gallagher
Sterling
Chalobah

Pulisic and Ziyech are out as well I would imagine
Posted on 4/18/23 at 4:11 pm to Broyota2
For sure, but I don't hate them as much as the other guys. The list of guys who need to leave is much longer.
Posted on 4/18/23 at 4:23 pm to Broyota2
Pulisic needs to go to a softer league. The talent is there but he gets bodied

6 matches left with City, Newcastle and Arsenal in the Top 4
Bournemouth, Forest and Brentford round it out
in 11th with 39 points
How bad can this season get?

I think it’s almost statistically impossible for us to get relegated. I literally started laughing while typing this
