I mean it's maddening but James was sick, Chalobah was out, Kante and Kovacic can't stay healthy, and Gallagher was suspended. For once our crap lineup wasn't really his fault.

We all saw glimpse of Pulisic’s talent during Lampard’s tenure
That's because Lampard believed in him. Tuchel simply wants to leverage him. Living hell for the American.

Agree!
He played 20 minutes but those fans over yonder would have you believe its CP’s fault. He’s American and thats why he can’t get a fair shake with this coach.
If I recall when last owner signed Tuc he had a clause that ownership cannot dictate lineups. So new owners would have to fire him to fix problem. Don’t blame Tuc for having that clause but ownership is powerless for obvious vias against CP.
Owners could trade him but since they haven’t my guess is Tuc is on thin ice and likely gone by end of year. CP is good enough to start and he draws fans from US as a bonus. That extra money helps team pay good players.

This is what Tuc is going for the North Korea defense

Pulisic at LW in the prem last season
8 starts
4 goals
2 assists
In The UCL:
3 starts
2 goals
Give him consistent minutes at LW and he's gonna peform

I still think he’s a top player, he’s a confidence player though, and I don’t know if he’s ever been this low. If the gaffer can’t find faith in him then he needs to go to a team that would use him. Don’t care what league, high table team.

You’re down 2-1 and TT plays CP at right wing back? Let’s see how how Havertz plays at that position.
Translation: Hey, CP is out of his natural productive position, but at least he’s playing.
What a joke this has become.

“You can always argue I would have been more consistent or better if I had one clear position," Tuchel continued, "but maybe then you have less minutes or you face even more competition, because up front we have two or three players in every position. So first of all it's a good thing…

Does anyone have the full amounts of what we spent this summer on transfers vs what we took in?
Posted on 9/1/22 at 2:52 pm to Alyosha
Not sure how much Chelsea you watch but our regular right wing back is our best attacking player.

He’s also a giant of a human and plays a completely different style of play than pulisic. Messi wouldn’t look the same back there too

Welp. Pierre is a Blue. Something is better than nothing, right? Between Kai, Pierre, Raheem, Christian, and Mason we should be able to score a little, right? Lotta money spent just not sure it was spent wisely. I’ll say this- at least Todd is willing to spend.

And what can anyone tell me about Denis Zakaria?

Kinda wish we’d have held onto some spending money and just rebuilt next season. I don’t see any game changing players coming in. Raheem has been decent

Not super excited about PEA but we had to do something, amazing we spent the amount of money we did and that's what we ended up with at that position.

Has to be better than Jorg. That’s all I’ve got.

Good business at 45M.
Fofana better be the next John Terry at 70M.
We made some investments in upcoming players that aren't going to impact this year but could become stellar business in the next few (to the tune of 50M+ spent in the window on such players).
The full stack of transfer activity is nuts. It's like 40 players+ on incoming, outgoing, and the loan army.
