I read that as posturing. No way he’s worth 80M. They’ve got to come off it or we have to overpay. I think it boils down to who blinks first. I’m pretty sure I’d lose a staring contest with Marina. Unless ogling is allowed then all bets are off.

and Chilwell wasnt going anywhere for under 70-80, Kai not leaving unless we pay 100, etc...

what I dont want to see is Chelsea pay Kai money for Rice, that would be absurd. I also dont necessarily want to panic buy some rando DM in the event WHU dont sell.

theres every chance to get Rice in January or next summer if thats who the club have targeted. no more half arse stop-gap signings. if that means making due with the current squad, so be it. we arent gonna win the title this year anyway and have enough for top-4 as is.

Looks like Blues got a pretty favorable draw in Champions League: Sevilla, Chelsea, Krasnodar and Rennes. Mendy vs Rennes is interesting.

This pleases me. He'll get 15 minutes or something, I'd assume. Ziyech did get called up to Morocco, so interesting he's not in the squad. Hopefully Morocco doesn't play him if he's unfit.

Rumors are that west ham are interested in a season long loan for RLC, but still maintain rice is not for sale. We shall see.

When are we going to see some sales? We couldn’t possibly be keeping Jorginho now could we? Emerson and Alonso?

Can't loan RLC given we just loaned Barkley out, no?

He's our fourth choice attacking mid.

Hate that Jorginho took the second penalty. Already up 3-0. Let Havertz or Timo get their first goal. Very solid performance though. Chilwell started really rough, but he was outstanding in the second half. Thought Zouma and Jorginho were also good today.

Chilly is going to be good for this side. Not everyone was thrilled with his signing but I love the offensive dimension he brings. Agree about the PK but those guys will get plenty of goals this season.

against spurs in league cup. neither timo or kai have a prem goal iirc.

tbf to Jorginho, hes wasnt really fighting for the ball on the second pen and seemed ok to let Tammy have it. and I dont mind Azpi snatching it back and handing it to Jorgi.

already went through all this with Barkley in preseason last year when he fought off half the team and whiffed on the pen.

Plenty of time for those guys to get their goals. Tammy needs to listen to his captain.

Good finish after a lackluster start. CP was playing well up until this one so this is a good win. I figured Blues would be sitting at 9 points right now and you wonder if we had Mendy ready at WBA if we would be there.

Tammy missing too many easy opportunities this season. I want to see Giroud getting into the rotation more often. He was key last year and will pair up beautifully with the quicker skill guys around him now.

As much as I wanted him gone from Chelsea, Barkley is playing quite well for Villa today. L’Pool looks like total shite on D. Currently 5-1 AVFC. Lamp’s genius taking points from Reds.

Tomorrow will be very interesting to see who is shipped out. I’ve lost hope that Rice is coming in. Rumors of RLC being loaned to Newcastle now. Seems like Blues won’t be able to make any more additions.
