No regrets rooting for a draw yesterday. Take care of business for 30 more seconds and we are on our way to winning this group.

My great great grandfather's best friend's neighbor was from Argentina and handed down a shirt to us. The connection is strong.

It's so irrational to think that who we were rooting for influenced the outcome, but we all do it.

I go back to past games that I was rooting for a certain team to win and now looking back think that was a mistake and blame myself for the result. Like the Patriots/Rams Super Bowl or times when I rooted for a one seed to hold off a 16 seed in a close game because of my stupid bracket.

I'm not saying that it influenced the game. I just think that their stupidity for thinking we would breeze through Portugal and Germany should be pointed out

I agree.

Plus, they were very rude about it.

"That's a pussy way of thinking."

"It's unamerican to need to depend on another team for America to advance."

And crap like that.

99% of us are SEC football fans - that's why we are at TD in the first place. Don't tell me that's a "pussy way of thinking" when we all root for teams in our division to lose every week during football season to better our team's chances of winning the division.

I root for anything that helps my teams.

Exactly.

I realized then and now that most of those posters were just trolling, which is why I didn't respond yesterday. But I still think they should be called out after yesterday's result clearly hurt the US, which is what the smart people were saying could happen.

I only pulled for a draw when it seemed to me that Germany might just lose...

Pulled for a Ghana result. I want us to WIN the group. On Saturday I wanted us to WIN the group. I'm fine with us advancing given the results through 2 rounds. But at the time of the Ghana match, Germany losing (given their huge gd in first match) gave us more options to win the group(would only need a tie on Thursday had we hung on for 20 more seconds). I'm not going to apologize for wanting to see the US win the group of death.
