Hilarious to me that Schalke can play 2 matches in any competition without giving up a goal.

I don't like Mario or AC. , but look again the Ajax player pulled Mario shirt in the box, then as the contact is made pulls Mario down ..... GOOD CALL

I've seen it 3 or 4 times and it looked to my like when Balo didn't have position and knew it he hugged the dude and fell down to draw the call. My friend is a huge Balo-tard and he also thought it was a blatant dive. It's over now though, doesn't really matter. Heart breaking for Ajax regardless of if the defender pulled him down.

Why you so mad. Its not his fault that your captain was an idiot.

Any jersey pull in the box is dumb.

Could go either way.

It was a red but that doesn't make it ok for Neymar to pretend he is dying either.

I'm not sure it was a red, but in this day and age ALL players embellish a bit. People always hate on the great ones...

Yeah no doubt. I just think you might be underrating balo's craftiness on this particular play. He wedged himself in there cleverly and was able to make it look like a foul. In a last ditch effort to salvage a point and get a penalty kick that is what he chose. I don't like diving and this didn't actually look like a "dive" per se, more of Mario purposely tangling himself up with the defender on the off chance he'd get the call. Worked out and it was for a noble cause (attempting to win/tie at the death) I've certainly seen him and others do much more pathetic things.

Never a red. Brown was stupid to take a shot, but that's never a red.

Neymar will never touch Messi or CRon's greatness.

Every week Balo is diving.

Worst part, he's a physical freak, yet a finger touch takes him down. You would of thought some one was taking sniper shots at him.

the first game vs verona was really bad, he fell, at least 10 times in the box during the game. Ref got so tired of it, that he was allowing verona defenders to tackle him at the end.

Neymar has been criticized as a super diver. Was a good article on yahoo about how talented he is, yet he flops like a fish!

Kicking out at another player is never a red?

Wrong.

Even if you don't think that's a straight red (which it absolutely is, as there have been straight reds given for similar infractions) there were two yellow card infractions, the foul by Brown and the kick out. Brown is an absolute moron.

Why was the ref only going to give a yellow until the Barca players started surrounding him then?

I'm fairly certain the right back for Steaua is the worst player I've ever seen on a professional field. Schurrle went by him like he wasn't even there every time he went up against him which led to the first and third goals, he scored an own goal after his poor positioning allowed Chelsea to counter with numbers and in his scrambling to recover blasted the ball in his own net, and then to top it off late in the first half he dribbled the ball out of bounds under pretty much zero pressure.

I actually felt pretty terrible for him by the end and I'm fairly certain I could have not looked as out of place on the pitch as he did.

Actually I think the foul call on Brown is why he was pissed.

Neymar committed a foul with an arm extension to Browns chest ( a foul ) then dived in front with his body , IMO an obstruction foul , but Brown new the cheater was diving.

So Neymars arm extension was the true foul , shoulder to shoulder is ok , arm to chest is a foul.

I wouldn't screw the game up for a love tap to the back.

Perhaps he was influenced by the Barca players, but it was a clear kick out, even if Brown tried to hide it. I've never seen an incident like that not be given a red, either during the match or retroactively.

I don't understand how anyone could think it was never a red. Regardless of influence the ref made the right call at the end. It was absolutely disgraceful.
