37 in two fewer games.

So they can still end up with less goal conceded

You can leave Dortmund out of the look great going forward camp. They were toothless at that point in the season and couldn’t beat a Cypriot side to stay alive.

Did you even watch Dortmund? They were great going forward but were shambles in the back.

quote:

Yea they played better attacking sides on the whole but surrendered multiple goals to all of them

Bc better quality opposition will score

They were being beat physically by a 35 year old French winger

Frack when healthy is still absolute class

They just aren’t very good defensively this year. People get sucked into the reputation and don’t believe what their eyes are telling them

neither are Liverpool. we all see it but i guess you don't

The only back 4 player who walks into Madrid's back 4 is VVD. Other than that maybe Robertson if he keep on this current trajectory in a couple years

I don’t think Liverpool is some defensive stalwart, but they aren’t the seive you fancy them to be. They’ve conceded 14 league goals since adding VVD. RM, 23 in the same time frame. That’s with Liverpool playing City twice and RM avoiding Barcelona. I’m just saying it’s strange that RM are better across the board yet Liverpool are a better defensive team. Everything you are criticizing the Liverpool defense for, Real has done it worse. But they get a pass because they are Real.

Didn't Ramos and Marcelo miss significant time during that timeframe?

This sounds familiar (*ahem* Man City, Roma, *cough*).

City's midfield wasn't even what we normally see out there. Pep went retard on the formation and tactics in the first leg.

Roma's midfield over the two legs was better. Their down fall over the two legs was playing that high line at Anfield.

Madrid has Kroos and Modric two world class players. Also their midfield plays nothing how like City like to set up.

VVD played his 1st league match for LFC on 1/22. Since that date, Ramos missed 2 games to injury (1 goal allowed), 1 to yellow card accumulation (zero goals allowed) and not in the squad for 2 others (4 goals allowed). Marcello missed 3 games to injury (4 goals allowed), not in the squad for 1 more (0 goals allowed), and was on the bench for 2 others (2 goals allowed).

The only 2 games they both missed, RM allowed zero goals.

I don't care what explanations are concocted post facto, the FACT is that everyone was saying that MC and Roma were going to dominate Liverpool in MF.

And neither did.

So yada yada yada... maybe you'll get it right eventually if you just keep repeating it, right?

Roma were undoubtable better in the midfield and it almost cost Liverpool the tie. Henderson became a liability yesterday.

Once again City came out with a stupid formation basically playing KDB in the low block with Fernadinho.

We know how Madrid will line up. Hopefully a Isco gets included as well.

Breaking news everyone......Madrid has a world class midfield and Henderson is a liability. They’re good but not Zidane, Figo, and Makélélé good. Madrid are favorites but Liverpool can beat anyone especially in a one off.

If the Reds can lift the cup I’m pretty damn positive I’ll go to my grave before any English side touches 6 CL trophies.

Touche....I guess Ramos' hamstring was before that...but I could have sworn it was in January....ah well no matter I'm sure with Real's history and talent that Liverpool will be a mere speed hump.

I see what you did. You predicted a 3-1 game in the CL final and a 3-1 Portugal over Egypt win in the WC final. Just playing chess while we are playing checkers.

This guy gets it.

Just kidding, I was drunk.

That said, I think and wholeheartedly believe that Liverpool is a better soccer team today and has been all year

Real has played the best of the best in the group and quarters and semis and came through.

Liverpool has not

quote:

Real wants to get out and play pretty football and attack Liverpool because they’re Real Madrid then they’ll be down 3-0 before Ramos even sees a yellow.

If real is allowed to "play pretty football" it is going to be the other way around on the scoreline

quote:

We’re better at it than Tottenham and they outclassed Madrid. Don’t think their back line is going to like having Bobby breathing down their neck all night either. We saw it from good players against city and Roma, panic creeps in and they give the ball away for what’s essentially a cheap goal.

If youre planning on real panicking in the moment..... youre going to be very upset.

This team is built for this competition and as a liverpool fan, you should be glad to be there and hope for a close game.

Liverpools midfield isnt in the same stratosphere as Reals

Also Ronaldo has been quite for two games. Thats not good in any way for you guys

I know man, we are a year ahead of schedule and we know our lane. We'll come out and play real hard but know that this team we are playing are worth of shite ton more money than us and at some point we will concede because only super rich clubs win a one game scenario. You are a football genius, thanks for putting us in our place. Maybe send poor Jurgen Klopp a private text and tell him to just lay down because without Keita and Ox and Can and Lallana our midfield will get run over. I hope the club you manage has a good year or maybe just go frick yourself.
