Brad Davis vs Donovan 2014 MLS Comparison

Minutes:
Donovan - 630 (7 games played)
Davis - 620 (8 games played)
Assists:
Davis - 5 (second most in leauge and more that clint dempsey and michael bradley)
Donovan - 2
Goals:
Davis - 1
Donovan - 0
So far, stat wise, Donovan isn't exactly setting the MLS on fire. Davis has more assists than dempsey. still shocked by the omission? This is in the MLS not against our WC group.

Davis will be lucky to see a minute during the WC.
If he gets on the field all he will be doing is chasing players up and down the field accomplishing nothing, until its his turn to hit a free kick. Or we plan on parking the bus and knocking it long allowing Dempsey and Altidore to draw a foul so he can whip in a free kick. Both of those senarios a 60% Donovan could do just as good.

Jurgen also loves Brad Davis because he provides excellent service from the left. He's probably got the best left foot in all of MLS

Davis will not see the field this WC unless a zombie apocalypse happens and the rest of the midfielders get bitten/infected by zombies.

Nah, Davis will get minutes.

If were loosing 4-0 to Ghana you bring him in so that a starter, or even useful sub, can save thier legs for the next match.

I'm guessing you don't watch MLS

anyone saying he will be lucky to see a minute or all he has is a left foot for delivery doesn't watch him very much.
I am making not statement on whether he should be there instead of Donovan, even though I think Green should have been left off for him, but still, some of the analysis of Davis is way off.

I think Green is on there to get-tied. If US doesn't make it out of the group, and Germany goes deep in the knockout stage (very plausible), Green might make the jump to Germany.

Green is 100% tied to he USA NOW
he filed a "one time switch" which is ONE TIME. It's done

I don't think so. I listened to Ives' podcast about this whole thing and he seems to think Green is legit, and will in fact get some playing time in Brazil.

I thought you still had to be tied.

You don't get as far as that man has gotten if you're a dumbass. His analysis is usually spot on.

You can either get tied by playing in a FIFA sanctioned match or file a one-time switch which Julian has done.
