Aston villa from last season bad

29 goals conceded in 11 games in charge
And is someone can tell me what fricking "system" that was today I would love to know. Leon, Fulton and Cork all on together which is insanity. Then Borja had an average position to Cork with how deep he played

Rumblings he might be gone in the morning

He's turned them into the second best club in Wales, behind only The New Saints

Shame. Was really hoping he'd do well. Now nobody in a big league will touch an American manager for ages.
I'm only 20, and I would be very surprised if I ever see an American coach manage a non-relegation fodder club in a big league in my lifetime. There is just too much prejudice against Americans in general in the soccer community. Even if Bob Bradley were a tactical genius, capable of managing any club in the world, he would likely never get the chance. Our players go through the same struggle to prove themselves.
I was astonished when I visited Europe how the people there pretty much refused to talk with me about soccer/football once they knew I was American, like I was incapable of holding that conversation, despite me holding a USSF E license. That attitude that Americans don't deserve a seat at the big boy table is prevalent by worldwide football fans and FIFA administrators, as well. The entire rest of the world is opposed to us being successful at this sport, and the only reason FIFA wants to grow the game here is because they see a massive untapped market that will make them billions annually. Just read the comment section of any US Soccer video and you'll see a tremendous amount of hatred towards us.

that is spot on
a bigger fear is that we become successful by doing it outside of their box
if we came up with some outside the box revolutionary system, FIFA would do everything it could to hurt that system. we'd never be allowed to be Brazil or the Netherlands and bring something new to the table

This. It's hilarious and sad. But when we start kicking arse on the international stage, which will start happening sooner than the world would like to admit, it is going to be oh so sweet to drink their tears.

Decision to be made in 48 hours. Guess they are finding replacement first

i seriously think somebody will get a phone call if we're ever truly threatening the World Cup
i mean it basically happened in 02 already
i sense terrible heartbreak from questionable calls much more likely than kicking arse

We were denied two legit goals in the 2010 World Cup in the group stage. That's insane. The Slovenia goal that was called back has still not been explained, and then Deuce scored against Algeria but it was called offside when it wasn't.

yeah and we're not even that good right now and certainly weren't world class in 2010
this isn't even like a "FIFA is evil" thing. NOBODY, except maybe the asian contingent, wants the US to get good at soccer. this flows from the organization of FIFA itself to basically the member nations to the refs abroad. it's a legit bias

Peace. Next should be Huw. Hire a manager and let him have total control over transfers. Enough of this nickel and dime shite.
