I actually think this will be a good deal for Spurs. Guy has won everywhere he's been, except for that one team in London that's full of veteran egos.

So he's been a smashing success in one place and an abject failure in another. It's not like he was a great manager for twenty years with multiple clubs before bombing at Chelsea. He won with a traditionally strong team in a weak league and tanked it big time when he moved up to play with the big boys. The dude is like 34 years old so I'm no saying his career is destined to fail from here on out but considering where he is now (back in London) I'd say there is more bad than good at this point. He's certainly a step down from 'Arry at the moment.

But in all seriousness I think this is a MUCH better fit for AVB than Chelsea was. The majority of the pieces are already in place for AVB to run the style of soccer he likes to run. They're quick and creative and if they hold on to guys like Modric and Bale they could be a smashing success. Because I'm sure AVB wants to bring in new talents as well

Again I think it's a better fit than Chelsea obviously and he may do well but it's a big time risk for Spurs imo.

He'll succeed at Tottenham (just like he would have at CFC). He's reportedly been given £70M and he is targeting some big name players. Tottenham are in a great position, IMO.

I just can't see it. If you are a THFC player, how can you get behind a guy that failed miserably at Chelsea. Who knows if any of them leave? I think he will eventually be a good manager, but I just can't imagine him being very successful in the immediate future.
