I watched five minutes of that one time on tv. It was like a mixture of rugby and mortal combat.

"Here's the ball carrier going down the middle, and oh! His spine just got ripped out!" The crowd chants "Finish him!"

I've been to a Brisbane / Hawthorne game at the Gabba. What a heck of a sport. It's much better in person too.

So you're eating doses and going to an Australian football match?

ESPN used to carry it a lot back in their early days. It's pretty hard to find now.

If you are lucky you can catch an AFL game on FS2 late at night. I think most of their other games are on Plus.

Used to be able to at least catch the finals of the Australian Football League and the National Rugby League on US television, but I haven't found them in a few years. Both are within a couple weeks of each other and are almost as big as the Super Bowl.

My Aussie friends tell me that LOTS of people in Australia take off work to watch the Super Bowl on a Monday.

Oh, and apparently I may be going to a National Rugby League match as well.

Just found out I'm going to a Premier League National Rugby League match at Brookvale Oval in Sydney between the Sea Eagles and the Bulldogs.
