Looks like The Boss wants to make it happen.
I'm all for it, I think this will help the club.
I do hope we make more of an impact signing in January.
A certain German striker/winger would be a nice New Years present.

Yep. RVP needs some help up front

The Boss also said no permanent signings in January. Uncertain if that's a smoke screen or not.

Also, everyone be sure to vote on Arsenal.com for our goal of the year. There's a cool 10min video showing all the nominees. RVP v Everton will surely win, but it was cool reliving Beowulf v. Ipswich, RVP v Birmingham, and the 2 Barca goals.

Do you arsenal guys really think a 34 year old Henry is going to have much impact during a loan spell?
He's definitely lost 2 or 3 steps from his glory days. But you guys know a lot more about him than I do, so i would like to hear your perspective.

I'm not an Arsenal guy per say. I think everyone knows he isn't going to like he was in his first spell at Arsenal. However, he is a legend. Great to see back and him coming off the bench can help out the squad a decent amount.

I think he can be effective. He's not going to be what he was, but he's a smart player. He's adapted to his loss of pace well. As Leauxgan said a few days back, Wenger wouldn't be paying his £70k a week salary if he didn't think he could have an impact. We've had success bringing old stalwarts back on short term loan. Hope this is another one of those instances.

Who wants to setup a friendly wager then?
In true Arsenal form, Henry will get injured in the first game.

What would this prove exactly? Henry is a back-up to give us depth at LW and ST. Henry hasn't really been injured that often.

Yeah 369 total apps in 8 years for us is a pretty solid health record.
Arsene says he's two weeks away from full match fitness so he won't be thrown into the fire right away.
It will be weird seeing him wear #12.

I wonder how sheepish Theo is going to feel in the locker room as he flops the no. 14 on his back in front of On'ree

I don't think too many Gooners are being unrealistic. I am not.
It's a neat signing from a morale standpoint and I think he can come off the bench around the 60-70 minute mark and be effective down around the box. With the frontline guys we'll be losing for January, On'ree is a welcome addition.

Cool, wish him the best, although he was an arse at Barca IMO. If he helps dethrone United, i'll buy his kit.

round-up:
we're 4th
Frimpong to Wolves on season-long loan
good chance we will sign a defender on loan while Vermaelen is out (sidelined for 2-3 weeks). apparently we seriously considered Tim Ream, but NYRB wouldn't sell him out as a loanee, only a permanent signing, so WBA and Arsenal both held up their hands and backed away

I pray Wenger doesn't get too desperate and sign up Wayne Bridge on loan.
Missed the game this morning, but watched the highlights. Arshavin had an assist! I don't know if he did anything else but WOOOOOO!!! Theo and Gervinho had a couple of unforgiveable misses. It also seemed like RvP could have had 2 or 3 pretty easily. Was surprised to see he started. @Fulham is going to be pretty interesting with Chamakh up front. I'm gonna guess
Chesney
Djourou-Mert-Kos-Miquel
Coquelin-Rosicky-Benayoun
AOC-Chamakh-Gervinho

You basically got the gist of the game. Should have been a much more comfortable victory than it was.
One day off his a helluva turnaround. I definitely wanna see THE OX get a start

I meant to post this here the other day. Nice piece on RvP from The Classical.

His move today where he turned the defender around twice before using the outside of his boot to nearly score was:
eta: best line in that piece (talking about his Everton volley): "It made the Dutch commentator on the game lapse into English: "What a beauty! What a beauty!" (unless there's a Dutch phrase "Wotte bjoetie!" that I'm unaware of)."
