Great. Just great. We're going to drop quite a few points in the next few weeks, I fear. We have no squad depth. That's why today sucked so bad (among many other reasons).

That match also moves our chances at the title from "pipe dream" to "impossible unless every team DIAF."

well, let's be honest, I'm not sure there was any point in the season when we could reasonably expect to win the league. it might appear like a statistical possibility, but never a reality.

good thing we have quite a while till Champion's League starts up, at least. though expecting Wenger to come through with some crucial signings also seems like an unlikelihood.

Well I did say that it was a pipe dream before the match...

I just hope we stay decently close in the race for 4th through the holiday fixtures.

Entertaining match to watch today...but City is too deep. They're the best team in the league...and it shows. But Arsenal's keeper did a great job today...

This guy gets hurt every third game he plays it seems. I always see him coming off for a pulled muscle or something, dude is made of glass for real.

Same with Diaby, hell, for quite a few of our players.

So I guess Song and Arteta are out for Villa after picking up their 5th bookings. Might be good. Some forced rotation. Is Rosicky healthy?

He was available today so he should be good to go Wednesday. Yossi and Frimpong will also be front runners, I imagine.

At least we've had success against Aston Villa seemingly more than against any other side. (Can't back that up, but my statistical memory is pointing me toward that notion).

McLeish does suck, even if he has won a trophy since Arsene. :( :( :(

City was definitely the better side today. We got lucky on our end; it could have been worse.

On the bright side, we were a bit unlucky around their goal and could have come out of Etihad with a point.

Definitely chances now for the PL trophy are slim and none and slim just left the building.

We do need depth, I hope The Boss makes some moves next month.

According to YG, McCoist is worried we'll recall Bartley due to injuries. As someone else tweeted, we've lost both first-choice fullbacks, both understudies, and our makeshift RB. Pretty awesome!

bit of an overstatement... It wasn't a terribly played game.

The margin wasn't that wide however. If we were healthy (fit fullbacks who are absolutely key in our attacking game) we would have played much better. It's rather unprecedented to have four fullbacks out. In that view, we were handicapped going forward, yet we still created decent chances. And considering most of Man City's best chances came from wide areas leads me to believe that the margin between our first 11 and their first 11 isn't as large as people would have you believe. Attacking FB's are so important to our game that having as many chances as we did indicates good attacking play. We didn't have the necessary width to put pressure on any of their wide players, which is unfortunate, as Gervinho and Walcott were often double-teamed, and couldn't really get into the game.

DEAR LORD

It's slightly correct.

Which means Talksport is slightly correct.

Which means Andy Gray is slightly correct.

Which means that the impossibility of Barcelona scoring on a rainy Tuesday night in Stoke is slightly correct.

We get a peek at the answer of this one on Thursdays next year...

Also, AR's anti-evil powers are just one more reason we need to assimilate Wales.

That is some eerie stuff right there. I know Ramsey didn't score, but the fact that he died the weekend of that match is

Young Guns says Gibbs has a scan today and if all goes well he'll be available for AVFC. *crosses fingers*

@YoungGunsBlog Francis Coquelin's stats v #AVFC: Made an impressive 9 tackles, won 6, more than rest of defence put together. 3 interceptions, too.

Not bad for the youngster. He's becoming a quality utility option for us.
