Diaby has actually developed into a decent option as a utility midfielder. He can play AM, B2B, DM with varying degrees of skill depending on his mental fortitude that day. He's a useful player to have as a back-up.

Thing is he's wildly inconsistent. At time he's basically been the match winner with the quality of his play (thinking of our away win at Roma when he was the Atlas of our midfield all night [though it went to penalties, he was indespensible in our possession and chances]), and other times he just pisses the ball away or makes poor decisions.

He's also injured a lot. I imagine he'll be on his way out sooner rather than later.

Nasri told L'Equipe: "Why did I not sign a new contract with Arsenal? We started talking in October but by June I did not have any news and I didn't see anything happening in the transfer market. There comes a time when you have to invest.

"I have heard people say I have moved for money. I make a good living at City, that is true, but I am 24 years old and I have reached a turning point in my career and it was important that I joined a club with ambition.

"I believe I have more chance of winning titles at Manchester City than at Arsenal."

Nasri added: "When did I make my decision? Early in July, when we returned for pre-season. I told the coach (Arsene Wenger) that I wanted to leave.

"Is it a risk joining Manchester City? You have to take risks in life. I am not afraid to do so.

"There is a big squad here but competition is good, it makes you push yourself and stops you from becoming stale.

"Was that the case at Arsenal? Maybe."

Because we weren't going to pay 180k-200k pounds a week. That is the reason. Nasri will not get a warm reception at The Emirates. Cesc will be treated on a level almost comparable to Henry.

If he had showed up at any point outside of the first 4 months maybe we would have won a trophy.

First half of last season he was a candidate for EPL player of the year.

He finished second in the voting solely because of his first half.

Bale was first right? He basically won it for two UCL matches against Inter. Really, either Tevez or Vidic should have won it.

I was astonished that Tevez didn't win it.

Bale only had 7 goals and 1 assist I believe. It was a joke.

Wouldnt the risk be taking less money to stay at arsenal?

Bolton turns down an offer for Cahill. Looks like we only offered 6mm. We have a pile of cash and are still pinching pennies. LOL!!

Wenger says that 6mil figure is wrong. He seemed pretty upset about it. Bolton might be playing the media to get a better bid...or Wenger could just be penny pinching. Haha.

AW also said we don't have to buy. Clearly an attempt to give us some control in the market since everyone knows we're...flush with cash (Jean Ralphio voice).

Arsenal, you are now my adopted secondary team. I have come to you in your moment of need, and I shall ride your bandwagon wherever it shall lead. Unless it's outside of the top 4, in which case piss off.

Stewie, the cloaked vagabond of the desert, roaming from one footballing oasis to the next, finally arrives at the cavemouth of Emirates stadium.

We absolve your Craven sins of yore. Here, drink this golden goblet filled with Wenger's blood, and be born anew.

Crazy story we might be linked with a move for Wesley Sneijder. Seems unlikely but that would be one hell of a move for us
