Liverpool has City, Arsenal and United in the first 5 weeks. HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN!

That sucks.
By the way, the entire world is now reporting Giroud to Arsenal after France are eliminated.
Sign M'Vila and this will be the best summer Arsenal have had since I became a fan!

What's our formation with Giroud, M'Villa, Podolski, Ox, Walcott, Wilshere, RVP all on the squad?

-----------Van Persie----------
--Podolski----------Walcott--
--------------Arteta--------------
-------Wilshere---Song-------
Gibbs-------------------Sagna
---Vermaelen-Koscielny---
-----------Szczesny-----------
Bench:
Giroud
Ox
Gervinho
Ramsey
Rosicky
Diaby
Santos
Mertesacker
Fabianski
*I haven't seen enough of M'Vila to know where he would play.
**I still won't believe any of the signings or the retention of RVP until I actually hear the announcements.

Im thinking the same lineup, except I am not fond of having Arteta play as our AM. Granted he scored some goals this season, but he's just much better lying deeper collecting the ball from our backline, recycling and orchestrating possession. Thinking AM other than left back is where we could see the biggest upgrade needed.
Still need more cover at left back. Im not 100% sold on Gibbs plus he's always injured, and Santos blows. Sure we have Vermaelen who could play there, but I'd rather keep him central.
Early rumors are 12mill for Giroud. I don't know where that puts us for more signings

Wilshere would be in the advanced role, likely. Or the Ox.
IF we sign M'Vila and IF Diaby is healthy, we'll have a very deep midfield. Which will be nice!

I can't really say how good Wilshere would be in the AM role since I've never really seen it. I know he was a great box-to-box player pre-injury.
We definitely need more skilled players to add depth to the midfield. Other than the backline players not quite gelling or always being injured, the midfield took a beating when one or two players missed games.
I'd be excited to see Ox in the AM role, he's someone who needs to get time on the pitch. Probably too influential/dangerous of a player to only have play 15 minutes each game.

Wenger reportedly told Italian media that, "I am certain that Robin will remain with us. If you want to know why I am so certain is that Robin will remain with us is because there is no reason in this world why a great player like Van Persie should go and play for you, in Italy and in your competition. Your football (Serie A) is at an inferior level to the Premier League."
Awesome.

He played CAM for the youth team and reserves. The only thing is that he really doesn't score many goals. I think if we sign M'Vila, he would sit deep and it would allow both Jack and Ox to play further forward. I think that could be the midfield of the future.

Assuming we're sticking with the 4-3-3, a midfield trio of Wilshere, M'Vila, and Song is bonerific. I just love that we'll have some different options next season. Last season there really couldn't be any tactical variation due to our injury situation.

Yea with Giroud all but signed, the addition of Podolski, and it seeming like RVP will stay maybe we will run more 4-4-2.

Someone must have stolen all our 3rd and 4th place trophies. We should upgrade our security.
