How someone goes from here to dribbling out of bounds is insane

We get a week off between wolves and Everton

And then 8 days after Liverpool on 1/8.

Unless that’s where the efl cup game is if we advance.

We should be winning all the league games going into the Liverpool match, including the Villa rematch at home. We didn’t beat Everton or Bournemouth last season and those are the games that can decide the title.

Yeah I thought he was going to boot it up field and the game would be over.

He’s going to need to learn to calm it down. He made the unnecessary foul that lead to Chelsea’s goal too.

They put 5 in the midfield.

Kamara and Onana as the two deep.

Tielemans flanked by mcginn and rogers. Those aren’t wingers.

Arteta just got outdone this match.

Didn't make a lot of sense to not have any runners given Villas high mid-block. Need to be able to play over it.

If Eze is playing LW need an overlapper with him and a runner at CF.

Eze with Hincapie at LB would be ideal, and a Martinelli/Kai/Vik playing CF

Would also enjoy a rice 6 and Eze/Odegaard as the 8s

Pompey!!!

They are complete fricking arse this season. 22nd in the Championship. Has to be a resounding win.

By resounding I mean at least 2-0. Less than .3 xG allowed and minutes for squad guys

Its all about the partnerships.

I do think having odegaard, merino and zubi is a bit redundant. They packed the midfield but still had watkins running the channels and in behind the defense, it never felt like they were getting in the way of each other while it did for us.

Saliba was back in training today, so that's some good news.

Save him for the Wolves game, or 20-30 minutes vs Brugge.

I know I'm being optimistic, but I'd like to see 11 different players in there. Surely our backups and seldom used can go get a draw.

16 got top 8 last year and is probably enough this year.

Sporting in 8th on 10 points still play Bayern and PSG. So they aren’t going to pass us.

And some of the teams around there play each other like Chelsea and Atalanta.

Wining the Bayern game was important so we can rotate this and the final game. Hopefully Arteta takes advantage of that. Or let players coming back from injury like Gyok work his way back to sharpness.

Win tomorrow at Brugge and at home vs Wolves. Both should be W's. Wolves is the worst PL team I have ever seen and Brugge just sacked their manager.

Arteta can rotate and rest players as needed. Get everyone healthy and ready for away at Everton.

Well at least Dec will get some rest. Would like to see Zubi rested as well. Saliba still not playing, hopefully he's back for the Everton game

Pretty sure martinelli is going to start because he did some of the pre match media. I wonder if he will play Odegaard and Eze in the midfield. Try and get that working.

That midfield could work with Norgaard just literally staying back and being a classic 6 the whole game

Looks like Dowman picked up an ankle injury in that closed doors game against United. Will be out for a couple of months.

Merino
Odegaard
Zubi

Decent rotation

No Saliba, Timber or Trossard on bench

It’s wild that with all our center backs (and outside backs that can play CB) we have to play Norgaard there.

One thing about playing merino at striker is he’s our midfield back up.

So to all the people wanting him to stay at striker, well we need another midfielder then.

We need to strengthen there in the offseason, but for this season we need merino in the midfield rotation.
