I had forgot to add those signings we made didn’t even get off the bench in this game.

So arteta spent the money on those players but none of them are good enough to come in and change a game at 1-0 or 2-0.

Looks like we’re stuck with what we got. Fun times

Well Arteta was blaming the ball.

Thats a sign of a coach losing it.

He always says we have to get the best out of what we got. Hes either getting the best out of these players and needs new players, or hes not getting the best out of these players and they need a new manager.

Seasons not done but in the overall view of things, we havent won anything that Wenger didn't. Wenger had some cup semi finals some cup finals and a 2nd place finish.

Rosicky in line for Edus Job.

Arsenal 'in talks' with Tomas Rosicky to replace Edu after glowing endorsement delivered

quote:

“Tomáš Rosický has grown into his role slowly - at first he couldn't find the right coach and a balance between players,” he said. “He inherited an unmotivated and overpaid squad full of experienced players which was very hard to ship out.

“Sparta's scouting system didn't really seem up to scratch as Slavia were overrunning their opponent and chose better fits into their system of play, Sparta were lacking behind in fitness, and there were injury crises.

"He also seemed indecisive about the future of some of the key players and coaches - under his management Václav Jílek was sacked just one game into the spring season, after more than two months of preparation time that could have gone on with another coach.”

“His comments at the time were very general and vague and reports also varied whether he really made the top decisions himself and was fully behind the choice of one of their previous coaches. There is a lot more that was going on behind the scenes that he was having a hard time with but to make things brief it all got to a breaking point where he offered his resignation, which was rejected.”

He added: “Things got cleared up and he seemed to have a full control over the sporting side of the club afterwards. He chose better physically equipped players and crucially he chose Brian Priske with whom came a whole different culture to the club that Rosický fully supported and craved for a long time.

“His old mate Tomáš Sivok was also a crucial appointment as a sporting manager who worked as his extended hand into the dressing room and a support for the coaches, there was an incredible step up in terms of motivation among players, professionalism, analysis in terms of matches but also recruitment, and foremost in fitness thanks to Christian Clarup, their head of performance. Rosický also got a lot more articulate and forthcoming as he found his feet, he crucially showed support for Priske even if his start wasn't as good and then it was all building together.

“The blend of technical and physical ability that Sparta were able to produce was probably the highest from any Czech team in memory."

City needs some attacking help, after signing another winger in the summer? Guess what, they go look for some attacking help.

This club is embarrassing

Perfect example at what makes us a horrible transition team and the carrying limitation of Odegaard.

Receives a ball between the lines and immediately takes a backwards touch allowing Newcastle to get everyone behind the ball. He does this constantly because he doesn’t have any strength or speed to carry past anyone

Odegaard has been so bad im not opposed to dropping him to the bench and you play with havertz as more of a second striker.

Play a 4-4-2 or like a 4-4-1-1

I actually want us to go back to our old formation with the double pivot (rice and partey) and someone playing the 10. Preferably am in form Odegaard.

It will be so Arsenal for us to go beat United and then not Spurs.

Spurs needed a GK. They signed a gk. He started yesterday. They beat Liverpool 1-0.

Where is our ambition to go take the fricking league? We’ve needed a striker for years now.

Liverpool interested in Kvara also according to Ornstein.

They’ve already got 4 or 5 attackers that would start for us

Yep, frustrating to not even have RUMORS going around about potential signings this window. Guess we're going to roll with our depleted, under performing attack the rest of the season

What I don't understand is why Arteta completely went full mourinho in his playstyle. I thought the past couple of years Arsenal were a really fun team to watch. Great passing and chance creation. Now from an outsiders perception, its full Mourinho/Simeone dark arts, set piece goals, try and out physical you, maybe get a goal on the break.

I understand yall don't have a solid Center Forward or Striker but damn, reading some of the stats are wild. Odegaard only has 4 assists since last April. Now losing Saka who has 10 already this prem season, looking a little bleak. Next closest is Rice at 3.

It’s basically Pep, that’s who he learned under. Control the ball, minimize mistakes, bore the shite out of the other team, win 1-0. It’s why they spent so much money in shoring up the defense and midfields. Problem is, City had and has world class finishers, we have 1 and a bunch of bums. So we go through these stretches where we can’t put the ball in the net and other teams that can bully our midfield kill us (Fulham, Newcastle, Everton, BHA, Bayern, Porto, etc) it’s always the same type of team that beats us or gives us trouble.

The way he coaches is one of the reasons we’re one of, if not the worst counter/transition team in Europe. We’ve got no elite ball carriers, and one guy who can consistently put the ball in the goal, and he’s out until April at least

The set piece thing is over blown, we’ve just figured out how to score them at a higher rate than everyone else

Now all that being said, if the club isn’t willing to pay top money for additional forwards, I understand why Arteta has been playing the way he has

We have looked most likely to score. But our throw ins are annoying. We take forever.

Jesus going off on a stretcher.

Sterling coming on, only leaves us Trossard on the bench for attackers
