Also, I’ve seen several reports that Trossard has agreed terms with Fenerbache.

Eze would be a direct replacement for him, IMO

If we can manage 20 after buying him for 27, that would be great business, and he served the club well

shite would kill me. I wish he was open to Saudi. We could get at least 30 for him IMO.

Hate these stupid fricking Turkish and Italian clubs

Trossard has 51 goal contributions in 2.5 seasons. Unreal 12th man.

Yeah, but he’s 30 (31 in December) and only a year left on his contract, he was never going to bring back more than what we paid for him. 20ish would be solid

If we get £20, accounting wise, it is an 8 million profit.

£27 million signing on a 4.5 year deal.

Amortized at £500k a month (£27m divided by 54 months)

£500k × 30 months (2.5 years) = £15m

So he is on the books currently for £12m

£20-£12 = £8m profit

It will probably end up being like a bid for 15 million and some add ons if I had to bet. Still a profit but would really prefer 20.

It amazes me how people are losing their minds online over Madueke. I get people hate buying from Chelsea, but this guy is a regular England international ffs. Last year we got screwed because Saka got hurt and we only had Nwaneri at 17 years old, who naturally plays CAM, out there for cover. The age only matters because at 17 you can't rely only on Nwaneri in that situation. We need to load manage him a little. Guy has played the entire summer this year and last year also, he needs to rest at times also.

I legit even forget at times that we had Sterling because he actually wasn't even an option he was so terrible. We got screwed at depth last year in the 2nd half of the season.

Give me ALL the attacking options. It is insane that people forget our PSG bench during the CL Semifinals.

We legit needed 7-8 players this offseason for depth and attacking purposes, and so far we have signed 4. Keep on buying!

Details on the Noni deal:

48.5 paid over 3 years + 3.5 in add ons.

No wonder we like doing business with Chelsea, 16 a year over 3 years? That’s good business and still gives plenty of room for Eze & Rodrygo if required (I think we should go for it) the manager has been asking for attackers. Give him 4 new ones and let’s see what happens

This is why Gyorkeres is taking awhile, they’re probably trying to get the bulk of the 65 up front

IF you can get Gyorkeres, Eze, Rodrygo, Mosquera to finish the window you go into the season with this: (assuming Zinny, Trossard, Nelson, Vieira, etc leave:

LW: Rodrygo, Martinelli, Eze
CF: Havertz, Gyorkeres
RW: Saka, Madueke
LCM: Declan, Merino
RCM: Odegaard, Eze, Nwaneri
CDM: Zubi, Norgaard, Merino
LB: MLS, Cala
LCB: Gabriel, Kiwior
RCB: Saliba, Mosquera
RB: Timber, White
GK: Raya, Kepa

That is a legit 2 deep across the entire squad and IMO absolutely needed if you intend to go deep in 4 comps. That’s 60+ games you need to cover and people WILL get injured

It also gives you lineup options, we don’t have. Able to play in different ways, attack teams with ball carriers and mavericks that like to play in mid/low blocks. It’s been needed, just a shame it all needs to happen in the same window

The 2nd team there could easily finish in the top of half of the league, not sure that’s ever been the case for us

The social media aspect of this kind of allows people to blurt shite out they probably normally wouldn’t.

But the people going after players or their families are legit psychopaths that have been given a microphone.

I hate Chelsea, and I hate we’ve bought players from them. That’s not Madueke’s fault though.

There are actually good things about this player. He shoots with both feet. And he also has diff shots. Sometimes he just passes it into the corner, others he knows he has to lift it so he blasts it in the roof of the net. He puts in good crosses and watching him give assists to Kane in the England set up gives me hope for he and Gyokeres teaming up.

But the problem is this is mostly from the right wing. So definitely will be interesting how he’s used.

If he was the last signing of the window, folks would be ecstatic, but he’s been signed before any other forward, so folks are worried. I get it

His defensive map is something Arteta demands from his wingers. It’s a very good signing. The market is the market.

Where is Arsenal getting all this money to buy Gyorkeres, Eze, and Rodrygo AFTER all the moves they have already made?

Rodrygo alone should be 85M+

I don’t think we will sign Rodrygo.

New reports that Trossard probably staying.

Our total outlay in transfer fees between last summer and January was 25m euros.

We haven’t really spent much since the Havertz, Rice window.

We sold esr, Ramsdale and Nketiah last summer. Brought in Cala, raya, merino.

A lot of CL money for making the semis. Arsenal aren’t signing Rodrygo. His wage demands would be outrageous.

Agreed, his salary would make him our highest paid player (and that’s not counting a huge fee). Grab Eze and Gyokeres and call it a day.
Kepa, Zubimendi, Madueke, Eze, Gyokeres, and Mosquera would prob be our best transfer window ever. Hope we can sell some of the guys that aren’t in the regular squad.

Arsenal Twitter have already worked themselves into a frenzy over not potentially getting Rodrygo, but I agree I’m fine with it, just give me Eze. I also think Rodrygo has become overrated, the guy can’t start for Real Madrid or Brazil but is supposed to be the star winger we’re looking for? And then on top of that it seems like Real is wanting big money for him.

We aren’t triggering release clauses, payments over several years. Madueke will only cost 16m on this years books

Good. My primary concern. I don't want to sell him at a discount for no reason.

We've put a 100M tag on Camavinga so 85M for Rodrygo is already a huge haircut

Don’t have the link now, but Sporting did similar shenanigans with Pedro Porro to Spurs. Calling the deal off but Porro ended up at Spurs anyway.

Looks like we are still working on bringing in Mosquera.
