If a Nico Williams signing is a no-go, Raheem Sterling on a cut-rate deal would be a great move. Great addition to spell Saka when the schedule gets crowded.

A season long loan would be nice. We definitely need another body.

Neto deal is done.

Ornstein reporting nothing else likely this window.

Would be a major disappointment if so, can’t imagine how they think we’re going to get through this season with the attackers we’ve got.

Seems dumb that we got 2nd 2 seasons in a row, and haven’t done much to improve the squad this window.

We got a LB/LCB and a midfielder that won’t debut until January probably.

Jesus is already injured and we’re looking at 50+ games this year

Ramsdale cost Arsenal the title with that bullshite Pereira goal at Emirates last August. Looked liked he was on crutches.

I just watched it back. I had completely forgot that we conceded a shite ton of goals in the early moments of the first half at home in 2023. That was a huge concern last calendar year.

22-23 Man U 17' Rashford
22-23 Man City 24' De Bruyne
22-23 Bournemouth 1' Billing
22-23 Southampton 1' Alcaraz
23-24 Fulham 1' Pereira

That took an emotional toll on the squad I think.

Glad that stupid shite has been stopped. Can't keep overcoming the odds by shooting yourself in the foot.

I disagree that we haven't improved the squad. By October Calafiori will be a fricking animal a LB. Timber who's like a new signing will return to form and spell Calafiori and White. Merino will solidify that left 8 and Rice will move permanently to CDM which gets Partey out of the team so we won't be hit on the counter constantly if mistakes are made.

I wasn't expecting Merino to be in the team and really start contributing big until after those two big Spurs and City games anyways. It fricking sucks but we should have enough, especially if Jorginho and Calafiori/Timber start those two games anyway. 4 points from those two massive away trips and I think we are in business. shite I may take 3 even.

Seems irresponsible to not have gotten an attacker, especially after ESR, Nketiah, and Vieira all left

I agree but I think we will be okay. Just have to get to the January transfer window.

I think we spend big again in 2025. Need probably 2 midfielder to replace partey and jorginho and 2 attackers.

For now, I think we are bare minimum at squad but so has city for a few years now. They only ever play 17 or 18 dudes.

How would we pay paying his contract unless we take him on loan and I am sure that won't be at 300k a year.

If he came no doubt Chelsea is loaning him and they will cover most of the wages or Chelsea is terminating this contract and paying him to frick off sort of like we did with Sokratis, Mustafi, Ozil, etc etc etc and then we give him a new contract not having anything to do with 62 million he is owed by Chelsea

Arsenal in talks with Chelsea to sign Raheem Sterling before transfer window closes. #AFC now actively working on move for 29yo #CFC attacker. If deal struck, personal terms would still need to be agreed; no issue expected.

Ornstein so this is pretty real. Assume he’d be taking a wage cut

Hopefully on loan or on a very small transfer fee but I definitely agree.

Reiss Nelson possibly going on loan to Ipswich town. That would be a good spot for him

I’m not sure what part of “cut rate deal” you don’t understand.

Ipswich Town working on deal to sign Reiss Nelson from Arsenal. #ITFC very close to securing agreement with #AFC & 24yo winger on season-long loan - no option or obligation to buy. Chance to depart helped by potential Raheem Sterling deal @TheAthleticFC

Deal sheets submitted for Sterling & Nelson, get a 2 hr extension to complete the deals.

Sterling is at London Colney for medicals, Reiss Nelson to Fulham instead of Ipswich
