That’s 100M ish in profit over the last 3 windows (Balogun, ESR, Nketiah)
Just need to get another forward now, preferably one that plays on the wings

Palace exploring a transfer for Jakob Kiwior…… would love to see Eze come this direction.

My issue was with how Arsenal and Arteta handled the situation and not that they brought in a GK. We were not a settled team to start last season, and it cost us the title.
Not scoring a goal at home against West Ham, and the two Aston Villa games we dominated yet didn't score 1 goal cost us the title not Raya. We don't even beat City last season without him so your argument is cooked.
Not to rehash but I've never felt as comfortable with Ramsdale in goal like I do with Raya. I love Ramsdale but the man is scatter brained and does stupid shite twice a game which leads to chances being conceded.
It's all good we are past all of it but it's time for you to move on with this revisionist history stuff.

How we have gotten 30 million pounds for Eddie I will never know
Good luck to that baw but it's been time for about 2 seasons now.

Some good business to get rid of some guys that Arteta has clearly moved on from.
Last 2 that are really just deadwood now are Ramsdale & Nelson.
I expect both to either stay or go on loan, doubt any permanent deals for either of them.
Really need an attacker, right now you’ve got Martinelli, Havertz, Saka, Trossard, Jesus (currently injured) and Nelson.
Midfield is solid, Rice, Odegaard, Merino, Partey, Jorginho, Nwaneri
Defenders is solid, Saliba, Gabriel, white, Zinny, Calafiori, Timber, Tomiyasu (injured), Kiwior

Merino is now officially an Arsenal player.

3 days left and I will patiently wait for what Edu and Arteta have cooking for us in the transfer window.
With Eddie going, great piece of business btw, you know they are bringing someone else in. A winger or striker.

Mikel and Edu aren't the ones to do crazy shite at the end of a window but man if a loan opportunity or very serviceable player became available this late in the window that would be great. Sort of like with Trossard.

Man we really need another attacker. I guess we are going to roll with Nwaneri if worse comes to worse.
Otherwise this is a physical, well-balanced team. Quote possibly the biggest team we've had in terms of height. Mikel hates the technical midgets.

Aaron Ramsdale to Southampton, here we go! Deal in place after official bid revealed earlier today. Fee will be £24/25m add-ons included, agreed with Arsenal. ?????? Arsenal are now prepared to go for Joan García from Espanyol in the next 24h!
Looks like Ramsdale moving on too

Holy frick, that is the exact same fee we paid for Ramsdale. Amazing sale by Edu. My God.
So he had £6 million left in amortization (bought for £24 mil. Initial contract for 4 years, which means £6 million in amortization a year)
So that means he will be an £18 million gain on the books. Edu Masterclass.

I sure hope they sign an attacker, we need someone else that can win games up front
Posted on 8/28/24 at 2:39 pm to texastiger38
Romano already saying that we got that Garcia kid from Espanyol lined up as his replacement.

Am told fee breaks down as £18m upfront, a further £1m if Saints stay up and the rests is incentivised.
For Ramsdale
Yeah they’ve already agreed personal terms, just need to work on a fee. He’s 6’3 and can play with the ball at his feet, a bit bigger Raya sounds like

Really good work by Edu for the prices we have gotten for England talent.
32 for ESR
30 for Nketiah
25 for Ramsdale
I mean you are getting a ton of money for guys that do not start for you. I view that as a win, especially considering we do not sell our players well at all historically. Everyone points at how selling Anelka got us the training ground and Henry.
Since then not so much. Edu getting very good at selling players. Balogun was last summer also for a solid price. All bench players.
The interesting aspect in the future will be what happens if Real Madrid comes for Saliba. You obviously don't want to lose your best defensive player and fight that as much as possible, but if it were to happen; how would Edu do in selling a first-team star?

Reiss could still got for 10 to 15 mil too. We needed a good sale window considering the window last summer where we spent big
