Can you please stop acting like Ramsdale never had WTF moments? The man helped cause us the title last season. Remember Southampton at home? He's a great keeper but also has woeful positioning at times and struggles heavily in the air.
I have no doubts Raya will learn to play short passes better. He never had to play out from the back at Brentford as much as he has here. I trust Arteta and his assessment that our GK shouldn't be going long every 5 seconds when under pressure.
This chart doesn't include yesterday's game. You can not tell me that Raya hasn't been more composed than Ramsdale. I refuse to believe it and the stats do too. Ramsdale has 4 clean sheets in his last 18 league starts. Raya has 3 clean sheets in 5 league starts.
He has been shaky at times but I trust he will get better. After all, he is in his first 7 games in probably the best team he's ever been it. Why is he not allowed to gel?

Lol.
The guy did the same thing while playing for brentford and cost them promotion.
Any decent gk tips mudryk cross over the bar.
He’s standing beyond the near post.
He doesn’t see the pass after the next pass. Which is why he puts his defenders in shite positions. He tried to push the responsibility off on rice and almost cost us a goal.
He is not an upgrade, neither is havertz. They don’t make our first team better. Period.
And I have no problem with havertz role, but he’s our highest paid player. That’s the problem.

Agree with both points especially this one. He never showed at Chelsea that this was what he deserved.

He paid for everything Chelsea paid him by scoring a Champions League winning goal.

Statistically Raya is better. It was clear last year and it is so far clear this year. I feel like he just gets "called out" more because he tries to play these difficult short and long passes which is exactly what Arteta wants him to do though.
Ramsadle is in a tough spot. Honestly can't see him staying around much longer if he doesn't start the rest of the year.

Arteta revealed he expects Partey and Jesus to miss a couple weeks in his presser earlier

Arteta playing Raya in all the cup matches certainly isn't good for Ramsdale. I figured one would be the Prem keeper and the other the Cup keeper.

Missing Jesus at Newcastle next Saturday is going to suck arse.
Outside of that I still think we can win every game until the International Break with Eddie or Havertz up top (maybe with the exception of Newcastle):
Sheffield United H
West Ham (Carabao Cup) A
Newcastle A
Sevilla H
Burnley H
I bet Havertz would start away at Newcastle over Eddie due to Hold Up Play and Duels being particularly important.

Not great, but we do have some decent options. Newcastle have some injuries as well.
Just have to take it week by week and see where we land at the end.

For all the Raya naysayers, that ball he pinged to release Martinelli

I swear Eddie looks like prime Henry against these dog shite teams.
Can't wait for him to drop a stinker at Newcastle

Good ref in this game for a change

That was like our 6th penalty of the season
I swear in the 3 previous years combined we had 6 total.
We have an arse load of amazing PK takers:
Saka
Odegaard
Jorginho
Vieira
Martinelli
Reiss Nelson
Havertz

3 set piece goals out of 5 today.
This won't help Arteta's case that we play beautiful football

It is crazy, but most if not all are all were clear (i think). We control games and have to make inch perfect passes in the box to break down teams packing it. So if we make the pass the defense has to be perfect to stop the chance, and that is causing fouls in the box.

Sheffield United is terrible. They are a lock to get relegated.
Regardless great win overall. Nketiah’s record for scoring at the Emirates is crazy. He always scores at home.
