That price is insane for a guy who would be a backup.

Yeah personally I think even €40m is a big risk for him. He’s not coming in and replacing Martinelli or Saka. And what if his ~3 months of good games was just a hot streak? Always hard to tell with young guys, especially ones coming from a tiny league. I trust Arteta and Edu tho so hopefully we can get this done soon for a decent price.

Sending positive vibes to those sick fricks at Chelsea today. Need them to pull of the result.

On paper probably one of the 5ish toughest games City has left

Anybody think we can afford both Felix and Mudryk?
I think we honestly could but we won’t. To win the league we have to land one.

As things stand, I do not see us getting both from what I've read. I think Arsenal is close to their top offer based on their valuation for Mudryk if they haven't yet, so hopefully Shakhtar accepts. I'm very ok with not getting in a bidding war with Chelsea for him.

I saw Atleti want 9.5 million pound loan fee with commitment to buy at 70.5 pounds for Joao. I can't see Arsenal going for both of those AND getting Mudryk. That would most likely get in the way of getting another CM (maybe Tielemans?) and defender, and it doesn't seem Arsenal would allow that to interfere with their plan that much.

Should be a nice game today to get some people minutes who usually don't get them.

Would like to see ESR play a ton today before the NLD on Sunday. That is a massive game in retrospect.

Joao Felix is going to Chelsea on loan for ~€11m. Arsenal need to lock up Mudryk soon.

Arsenal also drew Man City away for the next round of the FA Cup, if they beat Oxford today.

Getting knocked out of this competition and getting 3 or 4 points from them in the league would be my preference.

Hell even 2 points

Arsenal XI vs. Oxford: Turner; Tomiyasu, Holding, Gabriel, Tierney; Elneny, Vieira, Lokonga; Saka, Nketiah, Martinelli.
Subs: Hein, White, Zinchenko, Xhaka, Partey, Odegaard, Smith Rowe, Marquinhos, Butler-Oyedeji.

Hopefully ESR can come on second half and give GM or Saka a rest. Wish Reiss wasn’t injured, this would be a great game for him

Don't like that our starting front line is in this match.

Haven’t looked very threatening at all. Best chance just came off of a throw in in the 42nd minute and Nketiah poked it way high. Going to be disappointed if we go out here, but not too disappointed if it means we keep prioritizing the league and Europa

While our front three are out there, we’ve changed so much everywhere else, it’s just not a coordinated attack. Really just a boring game.

Credit to Oxford, they are defending well and seem to have some pace on the team.

Need a moment from someone to get a goal, and put this away. It’s not like Oxford have done much, and offered anything on the attack. One goal, and either we coast, or bust it open as they have to change what they do.

I think Sambi can kiss his Arsenal career goodbye. He's just not good IMO

Yeah when you don’t even look good against a bottom half League One team then I don’t think your future is very bright for a team competing for a premier league title

I rather see Marquinhos at RW than Sambi at the 6 or 8

At least Marquinhos is young and has raw talent. Lokongo just looks overmatched and out of his element whenever I watch him.

I expect us to dominate the rest of this game with Xhaka and Zinchencko on.
