Looked rough early on. Let's see if we can actually hold a lead.

Sheffield UTD are a very physical (dirty?) team. I am impressed that the Gunners have not folded up. We do that sometimes when teams muscle us around.

Eddie Nketiah looks so bright and talented. It would be the most Arsenal thing ever for them to send him to RB Leibsig on a free loan next season.

Arsenal youngster Folarin Balogun (18) is set to leave the club in the next transfer window after failing to agree on a new contract. Arsenal do not want to lose him for free in 12 months & are willing to sell, but would be expected to include sell-on clauses. [@David_Ornstein]
This kid is supposed to be special. Sucks that he doesn't want to stick around.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s loan with Roma extended for rest of this season with “preliminary agreement” to extend it for 2020/21.

Arsenal putting finishing touches to new long-term contract for Bukayo Saka that will settle future of brilliant academy graduate. Expected to be announced this week. Also intensifying pursuit of Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey @TheAthleticUK #AFC
Signing Saka long term is huge.

Official: Saint-Etienne & Arsenal could not agree on a deal to allow William Saliba ‘prepare & play the final of the Coupe de France’, with Saint-Etienne stating Arsenal imposed ‘unacceptable sports & financial conditions’. [@ASSEofficiel] #afc

Arsenal would need to pay Saint-Etienne an extra €2.5m if William Saliba started 17 games in all competitions this season (currently on 16 starts). Arsenal requested to cancel the clause to extend his loan, which Saint-Etienne refused. [@LaurensJulien] #afc

Arsenal statement: “As William is returning from injury, we asked that St Etienne follow a clear training plan with William in close collaboration with us, to ensure he is fully fit for the start of next season. To our surprise we were unable to reach agreement to this plan.”

“While it was not our primary concern, and ultimately not relevant as our training plan was not accepted, we also expected not to be financially disadvantaged by extending the loan. This was also not acceptable to St Etienne.” #afc

Saint-Etienne getting greedy for that cash.

I've mostly lurked here and not posted much but just wanted to say that signing Saka is so huge. It sucks we had to sweat out signing a home grown talent like that. This club is so poorly run its unreal. It seems like Arteta is the real deal i just hope he outlasts this shitty front office.

The Saliba thing sucks too. This doesn't seem to be Arsenal's fault but I'm sure it will leave a bad taste is his mouth.

Laca simply can't finish this season. Guy just doesn't have it near goal.

Ceballos with an incredible first half so far.

The fullbacks have been doing very well in attack, heavily involved.

Probably the best 90 minutes we have strung together all year. Very satisfying. They looked hungry and full of graft.

The 2nd half was a mess until Norwich gave the ball away easily to Auba.

Really odd how after half everything they did well in the 1st would go by the wayside.

Arteta has had some sub issues but he's never been a head coach. I just love seeing him out there and certain players have responded to him.

The back 3 rt now seems to suite our defenders. I'm not expecting much out of our next run, but hope he can start to find something with the guys we know will be around.

And how about Soares. Comes in, steals the ball, makes a couple of passes, gets a goal. Didn't realize how small he is. This guy isn't going to be amazing, but we have shied away from signing just decent pl players for depth and end up with guys that can't cope at all starting. So this could turn into a good deal instead of a complete waste.

I'll make a note on Ceballos, he seems to thrive against these weaker teams, it's not odd or anything but better than some past midfielders. We need someone with his skill set with a bit more burst.
