He's off form and his confidence is low right now. Hopefully he comes out of it soon.

Well we have had injuries there lately tbf. Xhaka being back may change things. We will hopefully go Xhaka paired with anyone not named Coquelin.

I overslept, can y'all tell me how good the performance was? Apparently Ozil was horrible but how was Gibbs finally starting?
And yeah, I hope we play Elneny & Xhaka Wednesday

Well we looked decent but it wasn't that great of a performance. Ozil was off but Gibbs looked real solid and almost had a goal which Alexis scored the rebound. The rest of the defense was pretty solid as well. Lastly Perez always makes stuff happen when he comes on and he needs to start.

Any chance at all Ozil gets dropped for the game at Bayern?
You could put Ox in his spot and have Xhaka-Elneny behind him.
Or Iwobi as the 10, Alexis to the left, Welbz up front and Lucas to the right

I think Ox works better deeper in a box to box role. His strengths are his ability to dribble out of pressure and his pace and power. He doesn't necessarily read the game defensively well yet but his athleticism allows him to win tackles and close down the ball at a high level. Ox will be best at running up and down pitch contributing with defensive effort and occasional bursts into the box.

*sigh* y'all, I really just hope we can get a good result Wednesday. I really want to see a line with Alexis, Danny & Lucas (possibly Theo) starting. I feel like having pace gives us our best shot at winning

We need to pay whatever it takes to keep sanchez and sell off Ozil. Sanchez has been the best player in the PL this season, and without him the season is a nightmare.

Bellerin played really well today. Other than that, it was mediocre all over the place.

Yes this. Pay whatever money to keep Sanchez and try to bring in another world class player. Hopefully Lacazette or Griezzman. Maybe even James if his situation doesn't improve at Real?

He really did. He was the second best player on the pitch.

Ozil is in awful form right now and has been for a while.

I think if anything Wenger would move him left and go 4-3-3 with Ox-Xhaka-Elneny in the midfield, Alexis up top and Iwobi or Theo on the right.

I can't see Wenger dropping Ozil though I would be tempted to do it.

I also don't see Welbeck starting. Think they'll continue to work him back slowly.

Alexis being the leading scorer in the league after 25 games just further proves how desperately we need him to sign a new deal.
Offer the man £230,000 a week & if he doesn't sign that then just go higher. I don't care at this point. We should break the bank for him.

Alexis wasn't even good yesterday. But when you score goals you tend to forgive how many times he gives the ball away.

Our top earners are playing like dog shite. And this is harsh, but those guys won trophies with the help of elite players. They ain't doing it on their own.

Wenger has always said he likes him central. He's had two really good games there so far. But shite man, why play him on the fricking wing for so long if centrally he's better? shite is mind boggling. For so long we've needed someone with his pace and power.

Don't worry Diaby and Wilshire to the rescue.

Wenger has talked a bunch about how he likes to use the flanks to develop his young central midfielders. And he doesn't think players really find their best positions until 24 or 25.

Ox is proving he's a legit CM. I've been super impressed with his range of passing. And he's such a horse on the ball. I used to joke that we should move him to DM when we had no options there because of his athleticism but he's really been sharp next to Coq. He and Xhaka would be super intriguing to pair up to me.

Ox is maybe a superior CM than Wilshere and Ramsey. He can carry the ball forward as good as Wilshere and isn't an utter retard about when to let it go. He's a better athlete than Ramsey and has better technique. He seems like he can make most of the passes required. The key is when we are in offensive phases whether he can receive the ball from either Cazorla (next year), Xhaka (soon) or Wilshere (hopefully next year), which is the one area Ramsey does super well in, which is finding pockets of space between the lines from deeper positions.

I hope we start opening contract talks with Jack and Ox very soon. I would love to see them partner together in a midfield next year.

And, this is wishful thinking because who knows who we'll bring in/lose but with Xhaka, Rambo, Ox, Jack, Santi, Coq, Elneny, and possibly AMN all vying for the 2 CM spots who would y'all play?
