Got Ramsey today for 90 bucks and free shipping from soccerpro. Ordered a size up...hopefully it fits.
The next 4-10 days can't pass quickly enough.

Finn's is the best soccer bar in Nola.
I got the away jersey last season. No regrets.
Before Cavani I'd like to get that DM and get another CB. With Theo coming back from injury, us keeping everyone thus far, and buying Sanchez I think we're set on the attacking side. Or at least it should be lower on our priorities list.

News today is that Khedira is all but a done deal, per various reports, though the buzz isn't as strong as it was for Sanchez near the end. I'll chalk that up to the final being yesterday. I think we get Khedira.
Add a CB to that haul and we're all but set.

ospina seems like a done deal too.
I wonder if khedira means we're shifting tactics. if we benched per, we could play a high line, high pressing game while keeping him around for big road matches where we need to play on the counter. lots of potential tactical variation. we could play tiki-taka or napoli-esque counter attacking with speed depending on who is selected.

Yes it was. Second only to your Bolton one.

So who is everyone's favorite current player?
Posted on 7/14/14 at 1:22 pm to Byron Bojangles III
Aaron the based God Ramsey.
In regards to Khedira I think it'll come down to whether or not he's willing to sacrifice a million or two a year to come to arsenal. Bc there will be teams who match his 10m Euros after taxes price, but I don't think we're going to be one of them

Hmm, interesting.
I think we'll see a lot of tactical variation, regardless. Even when we set out in a system, say, 4-2-3-1, it will shift and move and players will be free to play within a role more than a position.
I think we'll have one DM protecting the back line (Khedira/Arteta), Ramsey working box to box, Ozil drifting center to left, Sanchez and Walcott running behind, etc.
It's going to be a fun season. Could be some tactical hiccups as new faces get used to each other, but we'll see.
As far as Per, I can't see us benching him, and Scez could do a nice Neuer impression off his line, I think. He's done so before.

a bonus to sami, that means he wouldn't be going to chelsea, which is v. nice.
i don't know that i could pick a favorite player. if i had to pick the one who brings me the most joy, it's probably santi. that dude is so fun to watch and he seems like the funniest, nicest guy. there's a joy to his game that exudes through sport (and a television screen).
love me some rambo, mesut, and per though.

yeah, especially with ze germans getting back into camp late. would be pretty shocked if they play v. Palace. hope they're ready by Everton.

same. love him. that said, if we had a more mobile CB, we could do a whole lot more tactically. that's why it'd be nice to bring someone in. to at least offer that variety.

actually, this might be just as big a problem as per. i think he's a pretty shitty sweeper. gets himself into trouble when he does that. he's no neuer or lloris, for sure. not many are though. he might be able to do enough. fairly athletic.

Not sure if we ate getting khedira. I was excited because I saw it was a guy that reports for real Madrid. But upon delving deeper he's a Madrid reporter for a Catalan magazine. Meaning he really reports about Madrid for barca fans. Could just be bullocks.

It's not as clear cut as Sanchez and Debuchy but I do think we're comfortably in the lead for khedira
Posted on 7/14/14 at 9:01 pm to tigerfan88
I'm starting to get a little nervous about Debuchy; but I did read that Newcastle just signed his replacement and that they were waiting to get a replacement before officially selling Debuchy

Pretty sure that deal is going through. Time for a CDM.
