None at all, I think he's also very thankful for the opportunity Bayern provided him. The Brazil FA would've never found him if he was still bossing the midfield for Hoffenheim. Do y'all run the 4231?

The biggest positive you can say about Gustavo is that no Bayern fan has a bad thing to say about him. Everyone loves the guy.

yes, pretty much. it'd be interesting because honestly, he isn't guaranteed PT here this year. more than bayern though. arteta is our captain pretty much and rambo our most impressive player this summer, stretching back into the latter part of last season. he probably will be eased into the midfield. May get more early chances on the back line, particularly at LB.

Apparently only Xavi had a higher pass completion percentage last season in the big 4 Euro leagues. I think Goose was like 93.8% and Xavi was something in the 94%s.

all goose needs to do passing wise is be able to pass backwards or find arteta/rambo/jack/santi. anything else is a bonus

He won't 'quarterback' the side by any means, but he can hit a square pass or a back pass with the best of them lol his shot is probably what's improved the most that I've noticed in his time with Bayern. He's actually a goal scoring threat now. Didn't used to be the case.

theo probably going to miss the Villa match because of an ankle knock picked up on international duty. wooooooooo *drinks all the bourbon*

What? When did that happen? He looked great on Saturday. Time for the OX.

And the Arsenal International duty curse strikes early this year. Luckily we're probably deepest at AW with Theo, Poldi, Ox, Gnabry, Cazorla and even rosicky in a pinch

today. yeah, santi hasn't looked sharp yet coming into camp late. was thinking they might start him on the bench Saturday, but now he has to start. i guess poldi does too :/ i would imagine the ox might get the ax, but maybe i'll be wrong.

Well, hopefully today we get some positive news.

From the comments:

I coached him for a year at Walter Johnson. He is legit. He is definitely leaning towards Germany but he is doing great things for Arsenal this summer.

yeah, i didn't get a particularly good feel from that article. but it's what we've always known. significant hurdles to him becoming a US citizen. Germany is the easier route and the better team. plus he's surrounded by Per, Poldi, Gnabry, and Eisfeld now. if comfort level was the one positive we had with him, that is quickly evaporating.

Perez couldn't get a work permit according to Colombian media. sounds like that deal is dead.
we better beat Napoli and Wolfsburg for Goose. should know Thursday.
I'm all about judging this summer's dealings on September 2nd, but I sure would like something to happen before Villa...
also of note, Lyon's president says Gourcuff would take a pay cut to play for us. considering his injury history, I absolutely don't think that would happen, but kinda interesting. would be an intriguing, if doomed, gamble.

It is so frustrating to be a fan of this club. We are all a bit masochistic.
