We always have a difficult time this part of the year. Seem to turn it around in the middle of January. I'm looking forward to the matches with Bayern.

i know we can give them a run for their money, and i know you have to beat the best teams eventually, etc., but it sure would be nice to not have to play the best team in the world in the round of 16 every year.

NOT SAYING WE WOULD HAVE WON HAD WE GOTTEN THESE DECISIONS, but i thought the pics were interesting. we got boned hard by the AR:

while we certainly need to shore up defense, those pics are a big reason why i'm not normal-level depressed after an arsenal rout. that plus the 3 golden chances giroud wasted when we were down 3-1 were very positive signs.

None of those are offsides. Maybe Beowulf but can't really tell for sure at that angle.

yeah, my thought too. giroud's one was particularly frustrating because he scored a ridiculous goal as the whistle was being blown. bendtner's was a goal too, but again, tough to say. the other two were just really promising attacking chances that very well could've been goals (Pants isn't a particularly good keeper).

Realized after watching the game, the importance of Gibbs defensive stability. Most of the attacks from Mancity started from the left wing, where Monreal and Wilshere did a terrible job.
