So if we lost 3-2 we would be even all the way down to tiebreaker e) where BVB would certainly pull away. If only Arsenal could have won 4-0 today.

i think a 5 goal loss would do it.
Just get a result. Want to be in the first pot. If not we know who we are going to draw.

i'd take barca if they don't have messi
1st place is huge because we would avoid (likely) barca, bayern, real, atletico and PSG and wouldn't have to worry about City or Dortmund (by far the two best 2nd place finishers)

Without Messi I might take them over any other than maybe Atletico.
frick it, if we are 100% we can play with any club in the world.

Walcott starting to shake the rust off a little bit. Showed that burst we've been missing down the right to get in the box a few times. Should have gotten a goal late while filling the middle, but drug his shot just wide left.
Could Theo get a start at Cardiff on Saturday?

I think he is ready. Would love to see it.

i don't disagree, but it'd be sooooo much easier if we got 1st though
seems like this year is set up for a lot of the group winners to advance to the quarterfinals. seems like only City and us/Dortmund are the only ones who could really make some noise. maybe Milan if they get their shite together.

same here. would love if we gave Rambo a rest, though i'm sure he'll want to play against his old club. something like
Szcz
Baccy-Per-Kos-Gibbo/Monreal
Arteta-Flamini
Walcott-Ozil-Santi
Giroud

We have been so good on the road that I fully expect a result. shite, we really outplayed ManU at OT even in a loss.

I also thought Ozil played very well during the game today, the missed penalty not withstanding. That was a truly poor effort. But he was all over the place in midfield leading several attacks. Passing and vision was great again. Set up Wilshere's second goal very nicely.

he did.
honestly, i hope we rest Ozil or Giroud too vs. Cardiff. Need to start doing some heavy rotation in preparation for Napoli and City.

That backpass at the end was sick.

He and Giroud really deserve one.

He makes things look so easy. Truly a great talent. I'm coming to grips that he really does play for Arsenal.

How long till Podolski, and Ox are back?
Also, what about Gnabry? Will he be on the bench, possibly play against a weak Cardiff side?

Not sure, but certainly not until after the New Year.

We do play well on the road, but it isn't a given we will take all 3 points.

Think we can rest Giroud by putting Theo in his beloved ST position? Have Gnarby on the right, Ozil middle, Cazorla on the left.
Posted on 11/27/13 at 8:10 am to Downtown Devin Brown
I would be okay with that scenario.

considering he hasn't used him frequently pre-Theo's return, I'm skeptical of Serge getting much PT. he need to rotate heavily this next month plus though:
Nov 30 - @ Cardiff
Dec 4 - Hull
Dec 8 - Everton
Dec 11 - @Napoli
Dec 14 - @City (looks like this doesn't only happen to Chelsea, Jose)
Dec 23 - Chelsea
Dec 26 - @WHU
Dec 29 - @Newcastle
Jan 1 - Cardiff
i do think we have enough players to rotate successfully though. The only real question mark is Giroud, but Poldi will be back soon.
