that's not entirely true for ryo. first full senior match in months but he has had reserve matches and preseason with a lot of these guys and has been practicing with the first team for awhile. a little rust is to be expected. it was mindboggling how bad he was though.
Reserve and preseason isn't nearly the same thing as game against a PL side. Miyachi also has had injuries the past year, and only had 9 appearances. At his age he needs to play in order to get better. He hasn't been very good since coming back to Arsenal, but I'm not surprised by his performance. You can tell he lacks confidence. He isn't taking players on, he isn't driving toward the byline, he isn't moving off the ball like he once was.
We should stick with him until we can tell for good whether he will make it here.

yeah, i understand. i'm just saying he hasn't recently come out of exile like Beowulf. he's been in full training for 2+ months and has been playing competitive matches. i know i need to cut him some slack, it was just a really terrible offensive performance on his part.

We could certainly use the "Bolton" Ryo right now.
Guys, we need to quit bitching so much. Top of the table, we advanced on the road against an EPL team with an at best C+ squad today.
And we actually have Mesut Ozil on our team.
I still can't believe that little gem.

@arsenalvision had some really good tweets tonight. said signing özil was awesome, but that was easy compared to the job AW has done to build this squad by molding guys like Gibbs, Ramsey, Kos, Theo, Jack, Ox, etc. who were young or unproven guys. now all are big parts of a club on fire at the moment.

I don't think it was easy. Real wanted Bale and had to sell their most sellable asset. Win for Arsenal. If, we ever get healthy(big if)we can challenge for any trophy.

i'm not saying that it was necessarily easy, but in comparison it certainly is. szcz, jenks, gibbs, kos, rambo, jack, theo, ox...hell, even flamini because he came good initially under arsene. that's pretty damn impressive, particularly considering what we're going up against.

Arsene's press conference before Swansea was today. Says Rambo and Flamini face fitness tests but that he's optimistic for both. Says Santi will return after the international break and that Theo is 3 weeks, optimistically, and 5 weeks, realistically.
Kroenke gave an interview to John Cross and Jeremy Wilson yesterday. I'd like it, but for some reason (CLICKS) it's spread over multiple links. Anyways, positive stuff about his commitment to the club, his passion about the club, Wenger's future, our future spending ability and an interesting bit of info from our perspective on the Suarez chase.

Man, we really need to get some people back. I'll take a draw for tomorrow right now.

SUPER IMPORTANT EDIT: we might need Pires to put in a shift tomorrow on the flanks. how long does the PL paperwork take?

Been using Beowolf as my backup striker and I honestly thing I like him more than Giroud in FIFA.

Nice article. Thanks for the link.

Giroud is pretty bad for playing Fifa. He's the biggest impediment to me consistently using arsenal when I play online

Yeah I'm probably going to sell him and look for another striker. I signed Neymar in 13 and damn he was fast.

Spuds and Chelsea with the draw. Good result for us. Time to take care of business.
