Team News: Arsenal starting XI: Szczesny; Jenkinson, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Gibbs; Diaby, Arteta; Cazorla, Walcott, Gervinho; Podolski.
Subs: Mannone, Djourou, Coquelin, Santos, Ramsey, Arshavin, Giroud.
No Song means he is gone 100%.

Odds Diaby tweaks something today?
Ok, optimism only now: Podolski scores two, Walcott - one. Cazorla with two assists and Diaby remains fully fit.

That may be overly optimistic.

So how does Song see himself cracking the lineup for Barca? Their midfield are loaded, and song as a CB is a liability since he's so slow.

We have looked great in spurts. We have to remember we are still a squad in transition and it will take a little time to come together. Its also the first game of the year. That said we have to play with pace offensively. We are so much more dangerous. Finally Santi is the man. Pure class. Diaby not looking bad either. Podolski hasnt seen much of the ball. Wonder what subs Wenger will make in the 2nd half.

Its sad thinking about all the players not in the lineup that started two years ago.
Fabregas
Nasri
Van Persie
Song
Sagna
Clichy
Wilshere
Koscielny

Gervinho is looking dangerous. I feel goals coming, but from both sides. Still feeling a draw for this one

Jenkinson is hot garbage.

I agree on Gervinho, he's looking dangerous. What do ya'll think about Gibbs? Is it gonna be another season of hoping he stays healthy and moving TV5 out there when Gibbs is injured(always)?

Oh yea. Have to agree. I would rather Yennaris or Coquelin but was screaming for us to sign a RB as cover all summer.

Probably a switch of Podolski for Giroud, he will most likely bring on Ramsey and play him out wide. I dunno if he will bring on Arshavin though.

Well, I was close. Giroud switch for Podolski. Ramsey on, not out wide but for Diaby. So Diaby stays healthy. I gotta think that if Gervinho wasn't playing so well Wenger might have put Ramsey out wide though.
eta: and he brought on Arshavin

Sunderland playing kick and run, lumping the ball down the field and then packing the box on defense trying to hunker down. Hopefully Arsenal can get on through.
