Gamers Cup III next Saturday!!
AO chapters across the nation will once again be participating in The Gamers Cup this month.
We will hold ours next Saturday Feb 20 at noon at The Smiling Dog, the upstairs area of The Londoner
We will be playing EA Sports FIFA 2016 on PS4
The top 4 finishers will win a copy of the game while the winner of the tourney will win the game, an AO Beer Stein and a US Jersey
Everyone who plays will be in a national raffle to win a PS4 or Xbox1 console
This year there is something new- the winner of our chapter tournament will get to play in the AO national tournament vs the other winners.
Win that- and you will get a trip to Austin in May to attend the first AO national conference, where you'll get to play a US player at the conference.
If we get 24 players, we will again use 8 brackets of 3, so everyone will get a minimum of 2 games, and top 2 go on to knockout round
If we get 16 entrants, 4 groups of 4, again top 2 advance
We will need to borrow consoles- we are playing on PS4, let us use your console for a couple of hours, and you'll get 2 beers on us.
This tourney is first come first serve, We will maintain a alternate list, as we have had players unable to play the last 2 years
In the past the tourney has taken us about 4 hours

Do you have to be present or can you play your matches online?

I participated last year and it was fun.

Yeah, it's always fun. Even if you're bad, you can sit around playing games.

Man, I'd love to attend, but I'm not sure if I'd be able to make it then.
That said, I've been playing with Leicester a whole lot and enjoying it so it would be fun to go out and attempt to emulate real life with them.
